NEW MEMBERS TRYING TO SIGN UP
Seems that there are a bunch of bots or spammers trying to sign up here.  I try to weed them out but sometimes one or two slip through.
If you are legit trying to sign up, please don't try a user name that sounds like a 70s porn star, and don't have an email that is just a bunch of gobbled nonsense.  Gmail users seem to have the most creative ones that I have been blocking.

Here is the ring mount. I’ve talked to a few guys and generally the engine has a right angle of approximately 3 deg (2.8) on the Kitfox mount as is. Also there should be a similar angle downward to prevent abrupt nose up attitude when full power is applied in the air. So major mods to the Kitfox mount are required. I have made a template of the firewall mount points and will rework the engine mount from that for 912. In the mean time I’m going to reinstall the 582 and see if the plane is worth putting the 912 in.

I should mind my own business, but last time I ordered a prop from IVO they said it would be a couple of months.  Not sure how the prop market is now, but they were all behind a while back I think.  Three weeks from Ukraine would be fantastic.  As far as sizes and diameters, my NR prop for the 80 HP 912 is two blade and just under 70"  it works fine.  The one I got for the 100 hp 912 is two blade and 71".  JImChuk

Well his price is pretty good compared to the Ivo prices, im not sure about that 66.9 diameter, always thought the 68” was the smallest and 72” was largest on a model one with a 582.  Guess next ill have to c the specs between the two.
Well as for the Ivo, i love the aggressive pitched pro i have on it, I also have a 68” non aggressive pitch on my other kitfox with same motor and u can really tell the difference between them, so IMO pretty hard to beat their customer service and price.

Also dont like the 3+week wait Meglin so ill probably just stick with the Ivo it works JUST fine

It'll be a few days before I can go out and measure, but I do know that I'd like it to be a bit thicker, as it has a tendency to deflect inward at higher speeds.
The pic stretched out with the wood braces was an attempt to straighten the lexan- it had one heckuva curl after all those years.
It may be a week before I can measure, but I'd recommend going with the next size up- it'll still bend to conform, and what I have probably sets the "VNE".  I once asked why the VNE was set where it was, and the answer, from Mr. Wilson, was a "I didn't think anyone would want to fly it faster than that".  I did build mine with the leading edge fairings, and the upper leading edge skins (which I'll never do again, oil canning is a problem), and I've been adding fairings to anything that was round.. The catalina gets a bit less balanced as you go beyond the published vne, which I can hit easily--- 100 HP hirth F30, 3 bladed warp prop.  No issue getting off the water at gross.

Thanks for the pictures I have the frame and fiberglass top. I assumed the plastic was preformed. It must be pretty thin? Do you know the thickness?

Hey Buckchop, Does the Ivo prop perform pretty good? Here is a quote from Meglin: A 3-bladed sabre blade propeller with a diameter of 1700 mm (66.9")  It costs €690 ($745). Delivery costs $108. Nice looking props for sure but about 3 weeks or so for delivery.

Well MEGLIN checked out your website, i don't need another prop really, but if ur prop is so good compared to others i would sell my prop on the plane and the spare blades, how much is the comparable  prop price (IN US FUNDS) on ur prop to my IVO a 68” 3blade aggressive pitch? Avid C Model S/N 738 For Sle
Don't know why the text didn't go with the pics but here it is now, Terry

Hi all, I am selling my  Avid C Model S/N 738 as I have been unable to renew my aviation medical and will have to give up flying. It has 122 hours on it and was originally imported in 2013 from the US although very little paperwork came with it. I bought here in Canada and it had never completed import requirements here so I completed the import inspection requirements in April 2022 and it was issued with a Canadian Special Certificate of Aiworthiness. I have only flown it 7 hours since then.  I have a converted boat trailer that it will fit on.  Price is $20,000 Canadian for plane and trailer. It has an IVO Prop Medium on it. At some point in time the previous owner installed a Rotax 582UL Bluehead engine (S/N 3971023R) and flew the aircraft without a valid C of A so there was no logbook to verify the time. A new logbook was started with times from the original import in 2013.

The aircraft was recovered using PolyFiber system and 2.97oz dacron. New windscreen and doors, widened the fuselage, new bungees. Fiberglass leading edge with 2” nose extension, fiberglass wingtips, wing ribs modified to speed wing matching Riblet airfoil closely and flapperon hangers metalized. Empty weight 616 lbs Gross weight 1050. Also has a set of covers for cockpit area. Has the nose gear support tubing built in. It has several of the MKIV Mod, Cowling and Fiberglass seat etc.

Here are a few pics and a small video if they upload correctly, I have other pics available.

    Thanks Terry

One of the most difficult parts of the canopy for me was getting the paper off of the lexaxn after 25 years. I later replaced the side window with thicker lexan to cut down on interior noise.

    Parting out Kitfox 2
Hi all,  I ended up with a rough shape Kitfox 2, and am going to part it out.  Looks like it was ground looped, and seat truss is bent.  Looks like it was repaired once and then fixed again, then bent again.  Not beyond hope for someone who can fit and weld tubing though.   Wings are pretty rough, rear spars are salvageable, and maybe one front spar.  Flaperons are a bit dinged up, but center tube isn't bent.  Could be used again.  Landing gear, 8" wheels, hydraulic brakes all appear to be fine.  Rudder pedals good, joysticks and cross tube plus mixer controls behind the seat seem fine as well. 582 motor mount, and back two pieces of cowl, plastic fuel tank, and turtle deck also there.  Anyone needing any of these parts can contact me with a private message for starters.  If you want pictures of anything in particular, say the word.  Thanks,  JImChuk
PS  forgot to mention lift struts as well.  Here are a couple of pictues.
