Finish tapes? So today I ran out of 4 inch finish tape. But I have a ton of 4 inch Bias tape is there anything wrong with using the bias on bigger runs like 4 foot lengths?

I took a few pics of mine hope it helps, Keep in mind when I measured the length of the push rod I just hooked on the rear bolt so plus or minus 1/8" At least now you can get it set right when you take all those control parts out and power coat them ha.

Huh maybe it was the push rod from the flaps then, I know on mine they were with in 1/2 of an inch of being the same length, something goofey is going on there. ed sent a picture of what it needs to look like in this link http://www.avidfoxflyers.com/index.php?/topic/4168-aileron-idler-bellcrank-binding/ an easy fix if you want to eliminate all the washers would be to take and make a new angel iron on the passenger that holds the FCC-16 column, all you would be doing is sliding the sticks over to the left a bit. you would probably need to use a piece of 1/1/2 aluminum Angle cut the top down to 1 inch and drill a hole for the column bolt and leave the the bottom that sits on the floor a full 1/1/2 then drill the 2 holes that go into the floor. Hope that makes sence If not let me know I will make a sample, It would take less that 5 minutes.

Could have the ailron and the elevator push rod switched around, they are only slightly different in length. that would be my guess,

Covered the rudder, installed rear window frames and finished fabric on top of turtle deck, still sick, what a miserable way to spend a weekend.

Well woke up at 5 am today like usual and realized I am sicker than sick, cant hardly move so I stayed home from work, and by 8 am I couldn't sit in the house any longer, stumbled my way out in the garage and slowly worked on the kitfox. Decided to make aluminum frames to rivet lexan windows in rather than sewing them in. Got my little plastic rudder cable covers glued in place and static port installed. Also did a little fabric on the area under the vertical,

Look on the bright side, I have heard that bumps catch less drag than strait sides, that means you will go faster, Man I wish I knew how to do Fiberglass like that, when I get to my cowl it will be a learning experience for sure.

Oh sure I get it flush with the top of the lip on the front cowl. that makes sense, And I'm sure if I set it 1/2 inch below the top lip of the cowl it really wont matter, thanks,

Building a panel and glare shieldI might start playing with building a glare shield and panel later and was wondering is there a certain height the glare shield needs to be Or is it builders judgement?

I have also seen where the windows are sewn to a piece of fabric, I looks like a good option . Was also thinking about framing it out with aluminum like the new ones are, that also looks good. Just not sure yet, I like the idea of sewing one in because it is almost no weight there but Im not sure how you keep the fabric from fraying on the edges with that method.

Looks good Jim, Hey when you fabric like that on the sides how do you install the rear 2 windows? Do you hand sew them in there?
