Fuel fitting sealant

What are you guys using on the threads of fuel fittings, In the Fiberglass tank, and also the aluminum header tank?

Kitplanes mag just came and there is an article about sealants in it, including firewalls.    Leni says Permatex Aviation #3 for fg tanks.  I like Loctite 545 for other fittings and bolt threads - most any of the medium strength threadlockers and the hydraulic sealers will do - you don't have to use heat to remove them.    EDMO

I was always taught tape was bad.  The last thing you need is a chunk of that stuff floating through a fuel line potentially clogging things up.

Tape is considered bad mostly because it is misused - Never put tape or sealant on the first two threads.  When a fitting is removed, the fitting can have tiny strands of tape sticking to it, or left in internal threads, which can get re-introduced into the system and will stick in valves, clog filters, cause leaks, etc.    EDMO
