    Oil Cooler Idea
What do you guys think of something like this for an oil cooler. Simple light weight no oil lines. Basically just blowing ram air over the fins on the oil pan, Do you think it would work?

That is terrible, Now if they would just take the guy that slashed the tires and turn him over to the guys who own the bush wheels, well lets just say there would never be another slashed tire at the field again. But not our government ha lets give him a cozy place to sleep, warm meals and a hot shower for a few nights Oh and don't forget about the cable TV. That should teach him to not do wrong!!

I have been thinking, what if you were to make a duct that blew onto the oil pan instead of an oil cooler would it do the same thing as an oil cooler, or would it not be nearly as effective  as an oil cooler.  just a thought, it would be a lot less to go wrong. No oil lines to blow off? My thinking is for my Jabiru here, I have not heard real good things about the Jabiru Oil coolers.

I also got some cloth, when I look at my cowl with a light shining through it you can see both a layer of the cloth and strands of mat, thought I would use both, have no clue since I have never done fiberglass work before but It sure doesn't look to hard, and does look like a fun way to create things.

    Fiberglass Methods
Wondering about some fiberglass methods, about ready to extend  my cowl or at least try, I ordered some aero-poxy from spruce along with some woven mat and some glass fiber mat. It said on the glass mat that it is not recommended for epoxy resins? I got some anyway because it was only 2 bucks a yard. Does anybody know why you shouldn't use it?

I see in the pics of the fuel tank kit you have the same shut off valves that I am using, I took mine apart and ran a reamer through them since they only have a 1/8" hole in them, I opened them up to a 1/4" anybody else use these shut off valves, do they work good,

    Bing carb fuel pressure
Does anyone know how much fuel pressure a bing carb on my 2200 jab will take, I would like to buy a facet fuel pump and am trying to get away from the external regulator. I see facet makes a pump that only puts out 2 to 4 psi, this pump is only to get fuel up to the fuel pump on the engine.

    Tailwheel Springs?
You guys like compression type springs or tension type springs for the tailwheel. Also I mounted my 8 inch dual fork Matco and the thing is a few degrees slanted when I stand behind it and look down. What have others done to make these strait.

I didn't use any bracing but did hysol the trailing edge together and rivited to the cap strips, Nice and solid. Did take some funkey cutting in the front to get them to fit the undercamber,

Jim this cowl looks very similar to my Kitfox 1 cowl, how does the jabiru fit under there, On mine it is very tight like cylinders and exhaust are slammed tight up against the sides and front. Just wondering if you did anything special there.

    Correct bolt size Matco
Just got my 3 leaf tail spring and was wondering when using the Dual fork matco tailwheel is there a correct bolt size for that, It looks like the Matco has a 5/15 hole in it and one spring has a 3/8 hole in it and another spring has a 1/2 hole in it, Im guessing the 1/2 inch hole is for movement. I found a drawing that looked like it uses a An-7 bolt at the rear,

No Sir I had the Australians weld one up for me, they did a very nice job almost a perfect fit. And they changed there drawings to keep the engine 2 inches closer to the fire wall than the original drawing, They said that is now standard on the 1 2 3 kitfoxes

These are what I bought still not sure if they require a inner sleeve, I wouldn't think so because that tubing is about as hard as steel. http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/hapages/polyflofittings.php

    Brake lines
Getting ready to do my brake lines, I am using 3/16 OD Nylaflow tubing and all correct fittings from aircraft spruce, My concern is I have never found tubing ferrule for this stuff, Are they not required with Nylaflow products?

Well did you have a ETX Hundred series battery. If you did not install a aircraft battery and the company gave you your money back I would say that is one hell of a good company.

    Attaching Ruder Cables
Anybody have a pic of the rudder cable hook up front and rear. I know I have seen guys using a 4 hole adjustment deal on the front which looks good, but on the rear do you do the same or use a shackle or what thanks.
