Got 2 coats of poly-brush sprayed on now, tomorrow I will shoot it with poly-spray and hope I don't have any pin-holes. Hopefully tomorrow night my pictures will start to look different.

Got off work a few hours early today, thought it was a good time to prime my fiberglass tips and fuel tank with ppg epoxy primer.

Im Not sure if it is needed or not but first I would take it off and go fly it to see if it helps at all, if it does then figure out what you can do, If not put the nut back on and fly it like you always have.

We'll there you have it boys tape is on! Just when I thought I was all done I realized I should probably put a few inspection rings in for future cut outs and some drain grommets in, But the thought of stapling some fabric to a couple boards and shrinking then cutting some doilies today didn't sound like fun,

I'm not Sure what Props I'm allowed to run with these engines, I've read somewhere along time ago that a guy was running a 2 blade Warp drive, and that was giving him the best results. IMO I would think these engines would run a wood Prop since there a similar design to a VW.

Ok today I finished the main tapes along with the trailing edge, Tomorrow I will tackle the false ribs and the leading edge tapes. I am loving the paint booth for keeping the smell out of the house.

    Painting Fiberglass
When you guys have the fiberglass wing tips do you spray them under with poly-spray to act as a primer for your topcoat , Or mask them off and prime them with something else before final painting.

Yeah Jim is right and the poly fiber company emailed me back a little bit ago and also said it is normal. they said if you want to avoid that you need to put 3 coats of poly brush where the tape will lay before you start to tape. but they said it will all be invisible later.

    Applying Tapes
Hey guys check this out when I put tape on I am noticing it dries and looks thin. Maybe this is normal but I would like some input. Take a look at this picture you will see at the front half of the wing the tape is drying and now look farther down on the tape, I just layed the tape on the glue, you can see I am getting full penetration of glue up through the tape but as it dries it starts to look thin with white spots, Is this normal, Temp is 72 degrees with 35% humidity mixing 3 parts poly brush to 1 part reducer.

Everybody Makes some good points here, But $6500 bucks, In your area hell I would scoop it up and make it what you want. If it sits in the corner for 3 years then turn around and sell it again, Otherwise have fun with it.

Maybe push a putty knife in there then a screw driver between the tank and the putty knife. That way your prying on the Putty knife instead of the spar

Got one wing stitched up today. Took a little while to learn how to do it but by the end of the wing was easy, Even glued some fake ones over the fuel tank.

On my challenger I set static to 6250 also, gives me 5900 on climb and I cruise at 5400 to 5600 any thing more on them little engines and it just drinks the fuel. I also tried to set static at 6500 once absolutely terrible climb and cruise was barley over 55 mph.
