I got the 14130 I like it its a 1/4 inch thick just glue it on and a few rivets. the only bad part that I fought is you absolutely can not drill through it, the drill bit will hook the fibers and pull like hell. So I got out the soldering iron and melted a hole then drilled the firewall that worked great Just takes time, the stuff is light as a feather that's what I like,

Cowl openingsGetting ready to start on my oil cooler and wondering is there a standard hole size to cut in the cowl so I don't mess with the pressure to much?

actual Kitfox 1 cowl, I really wanted to try to figure out fiberglass work, I'm learning as I go and its a fun process for the hobbyist. I have now added to the back of it, to the sides of it, to the top of it, and now to the front of it, surprising that I have only added 2 lbs to it,

flight testing is set in my head for spring time, that's why is so easy to do all these finishing touches and get it the way I want it, there's no hurry here, and I should have it done in plenty of time.

Time to play with some more fiberglass. Need to make some bump outs for the header pipes and get a nice fit on that prop hub,
