I fly mine with the stock gear off of a paved runway and actually love the way the bungee gear is so forgiving. it just eats up any bounce, and as a new tailwheel pilot like myself is really nice in my opinion.

I used giant zipties .(I steal them from the hvac guys) basically they held the seat back while I laced the bottom.im 6 2 also and that was the way I fit,seat all the way back and down as far as possible

after doing a little research there is better breathers available or I read just a cheap fuel filter inline .on mine one valve cover is filtered,other one goes to intake like lostmans ,not sure why their different

the same reduction unit is on a 601 that just hit bstormers,id call the guy ask him how he likes it and more importantly any tips or tricks for that unit.after you get it installed and flying its defenitly money well spent for a dynamic balance ,shop did mine for 195.00.congrats on you fwf also!!

it was just the long block ,im running a 2.1 rfi redrive ,stratus intakes,dual bing 94s ,dual suppertrapp mufflers. ccr aircraft built long block is reground cams,forged pistons. got the engine 5 months ago.

I completely agree with randy,these planes coast to a stop pretty quickly without brakes,i actually thought having the brakes was a hinderence the first few landings .

im 6'2" and fit fine .I moved the sling seat all the way back when I laced it .ofcourse wont work if its a pan seat.

I figured if I put a new engine in at 1000 hrs, my tbo costs would be $2.20 per hr.so I fly a lot!!
