The inertia limits with a wardrive propeller limit a B Box to 66 inch, I need to get a bigger prop or new blades for mine. The C and E box have about twice the inertia limit.

its a 180. 0470R. Debating a Pponk on it or just finding a 520 to stick in the nose. I have a few months before I have to make that call.

If I sell it with the 912 I'll be selling all the 582 parts. I'll save the filler neck for you. EG

Sealed the deal on my new ride last night. She is a 63. A few squawks but next spring when the water softens up she will be pimping!

Hey Chewie,
Thanks for the information on that prop. I love to visit the museum whenever I get back "home". Matter of fact I will be heading there this coming weekend; be there for a little while before we head to the Steens hunting, but maybe I can get to the museum after we get back to Hood River and before I head back to AK. It would be great to run into you there.

Keep in mind he is running a 503 and not a 582. Bandit have you looked at the inertia limits for the B box. That is going to be your limiting factor.

The B -box is designed for the 66 inch prop, I have one mounted on an E- box but would like to step up to 72 inch blades.

I used the wing tanks, and they did not seem to be a problem until I put the covering on, then they showed, I used early designed wings without the leading edge and am hoping that when I add fuel, they will settle down and not be obvious, they don't actually stick up but stand out.

I worked ith Plastics some in college, and the trick to blow molding or getting a good bend was to heat it evenly at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for an hour, then you could do what you want with it, 30 years later I still have a salad bowl I made by blow molding, I may have to build a big enough oven to do it but 3 or 4 heating coils and a thermostat out of an old oven and I am half way there.

My curiosity keeps me awake - I read the conversions pages - don't know squat about the mythical "diesel engine" they are talking about. Info?the 120 has the bigger thread, but you have one person selling the complete outfit with engine the site you want is http://www.rotaryforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=37557&highlight=150+genesis+kit this is probably the best forum for alternative engines I have found, and the 150hp Yamaha seems to be the better or at least easier engine to convert, the Weber 750 MPE turbo would be my choice, but I don't have a mill so this would be the easiest way for me to go. Use the search function on the site it helps.
Thanks, EDMO

Any information you have on a nose dragger conversion, I would be interested in, maybe you could send it with the parts.

I'm selling my KFIII. It's currently flying with a 912ul, Ivo three blade prop, Sept. annual, recovered three yrs. ago, custom trailer made for KF. It's not an award winner but a nice solid good flying Kitfox. If anyone wants I'll sell it with a 582 and all the firewall forward (mount, prop, instruments etc.) $16500 with the 912, $9200 with the 582. Wife counted three airplanes in the hanger !! I'm dealing
Shoot me a PM for details

Hey Guys,
I just stumbled across this. I volunteer at WAAAM on a pusher restoration project, and I thought I would speak a little regarding this funky prop. akflyer - no offense taken!
The hub and blade design were developed by Maynard DiCesare. Main goals were to get more blade surface closer to the center, increase airflow over the cylinders, keep mass closer in to reduce risk of vibration, and allow a smaller overall prop diameter for the same blade area. That's the claim anyway. I can't imagine the complexity of the profile's geometry, since the air is no longer hitting the leading edge straight on but at varying angles depending on the radius....arg!
I have some manufacturer's literature if anyone really wants to get into it...
To my knowledge no visitor at WAAAM has seen a prop like this before. Maybe there's a reason for that. We also have 6-cylinder radial... any guesses how that works? -
How much did you pick up by losing the Side mount? I'll be hitting you up for information on this when I get ready to do mine. Here is what my belly radiator looks like. I do not know what or where it's orginally from. It came as part of a FWF I purchased a long time ago. I'm thinking of buying an aluminum one when I get ready to do the swap though to try and shed some more weight off the front. Someone mentioned to me that they thought my cowling had been shaved off quite a bit already. Does anyone have a good pic of the bottom of an original B model cowling ?

Took me a while to finally confirm but the belly radiator works great now on it's own. I finished the repairs on my flaperon that came unglued and got some flight time in this past weekend. I removed the side radiator and and scoop before flying this weekend. It appears that I have gotten most of my speed back. I have started making a form for a radiator scoop to cover the belly radiator hoping to clean it up aerodynamically. I took pictures with my cell phone camera. I will try to get them downloaded. Temps were in the 80's this past weekend and my water temps never went nuch over 130 on the gauge. At wide open throttle in level flight at 2000' I was showing just over 110 mph indicated. I was seeing 113-114 before adding the belly radiator with just the side mount.

Rmendler you have about 20 lbs on me and my instructor his 582 got airborne in nothing flat and I had to drop the nose on climbout to see what was in front of me, I wouldn't worry about getting airborne, Landing speed was registering somewhere around 30mph but on grass we stopped in nothing flat.
