I put the 30" air streaks on yesterday. With the updated brake pedals and mc4d masters, I can only hold it to 3800 rom on run up. If your going to put on big tires, get double pucks! On landing these single pucks are about as effective as the old cable operated band brakes..

Lets at least keep them distasteful, for Leni's sake.  We have standards to (not) uphold.

This is what he told me that the Feds had decided.  Don't think I am telling any more than they already know.
I have been told what part, and the 2-cycle guys don't have to worry.

Ed - This won't be discussed until the feds are finished with whatever they are doing.  DIscussions on open chat boards are not appropriate.

    ChrisB,
What is the diameter of the pivot tube - Not the support tube -  I am still looking for a chrome tube.

    LAZER ENHANCED LED HEADLIGHTS
Sitting in Doctors office today waiting on wife, and picked up a copy of Popular Mechanics mag:
Small article in it about a new Lazer-enhanced headlight on some foreign car - The lights are not approved yet in the U.S.
Article said that the best LED headlights only illuminate up to 820 feet - the Lazer Lights double that to about 1500 feet.
Wonder what they do to the eyes of the driver meeting them?   All LEDs and Lazers tell you not to look directly at the light source, as blindness can occur.
Just something to think about.  And, I guess I cant spell Laser?  But I can say it!

Does your original nose fork have the doubler installed? That was something everyone was supposed to do that strengthened it considerably.

Thanks for the tip on the manuals. Unfortunately, they won't open after I download them.  Adobe complains the document root is missing or invalid.  Sigh, it has been that kind of day.

My condolences (if that's appropriate) for the loss of the plane.  You had put so much work into it.  It must be absolutely heartbreaking.

Yet, I am so happy for you and your wife that you are both alive and well to be heartbroken about the plane.

Thanks everyone for understand why I haven't commented up on this yet. I have more information that was given me to today by the FAA and NTSB but don't want to say much about it other than it was a $3 part that broke causing the entire problem. I feel I handled the situation as well as I could have but am sickened over the loss.

I should mention that my nose-gear is not sprung, but is steerable by a bell-crank attached to the rudder peddles.
