Shouldn't ever happen to anybody, If you have the power to climb above those trees and give your self some gliding room and you choose not to use it, well no sympathy from me. I know some of you fly with limited places to land but he had roads and An airstrip right behind him.  Now on climb out that could happen to many of us.

Blaming the engine cracks me up.. I have had engines outs on the rotax as well as the lycosuarus.  Last week a buddy had an engine out in his turbine otter.  Nothing mechanical is beyond or above failure.  It's the nature of the beast.  I will roll the dice on flying and keep on doing what I love.  When the time comes for the pilot cooling fan to stop turning you just play the hand your dealt and hopefully you can draw that 3rd ace to go with the pair of kings.
