Experimental to UL and .... back?Question for you all:
Interested in a bird which was originally built as EAB experimental (single seat, but a bit heavy for part 103 and a 10 gallon tank). It was then sold and the new owner flew as Part 103 (registration history now gone), plus there was changes to the prop and wing since the original EAB cert.
Long story short, is it possible to re-register as EAB without much hassle (however the repairman cert wouldn't be possible), or is this just too much hassle.

Is there an easy way to determine if the engine is CDI or points? I assume the dual ignition is CDI, but did Rotax make single ignitions in both CDI and points?

503 Single Carb Single Ignition questionThere is a new in box older 503 for sale here locally that I am interested in. It is a single Bing carb and single ignition. Anyone know when they started to go to dual ignition?
Any other major changes in the engine over the years to be aware of? Fair price for such a beast with B box, carb and exhaust?

Kitfox Main Gear Model II vs III?Anyone know if there are any differences between Model II and Model III OEM main gear? (I.e. are they interchangeable)?

CamberHelping a friend set up his model II (oem bungee gear) and I notice quite a bit of positive camber as it sits on the ground (kinda like an old Farmall Tractor). Rubber in contact with the surface is closer to each other (narrower stance) that the rubber on top (wider stance).
Is this typical? If so, what is a reasonable acceptable value? I was thinking the camber should be about zero or maybe slightly negative (similar to my High Wing gear).

You might have already caught it, but your head vent line needs to go as high as possible to preclude any vented gases from getting sucked back into the pump. Utlumately to get sent out to the expansion tank and vented to atmosphere.

Another option might be to also look at if those side cowling tubes even need to be there. I know the Model III and later did away with them, though dont know if there were any modifications to the fiberglass for added support.
