First time I looked at this threat and I like how you did it by keeping all your pictures in one section think I will start that under the kitfox 1 section since that section is dead. also I like the stringer you added to the top of your bird, we'll call that the fast back mod.

good idea with the 90 degree adapter. i believe the elt has to be mounted in that position. there should be an arrow on the side saying forward. Keep posting Mr. nice to hear from everybody.

That ray Allen servo looks sweet, where are you guys mounting it, Im not sure it will fit in my elevator with out bulging the fabric down, are you mounting it on the outside?

Also if anybody has pictures of the glare shield, and windshield where they all come together up front would be nice too, That way I know how to do my kitfox 1 when I get there. I eliminated my front fuel tank so I can have a nice big instrument panel similar to the kitfox 3 and 4 setup, really just not sure if the windshield attaches to the glare shield or how they come together. Hopping pictures will help me and Bill.

My new Tail

Well this was Saturdays work this weekend, I made some tail formers and glued them in place. I know extra weight in the tail, but I think it will look nice. I haven't done the elevator yet because I think I will stretch it out a couple inches.

Thanks Guys I am going to put some standoffs under her, there will be a small percentage of people that will see it but I like it that way. Now all I need to decide is if I want to weld on some standoffs or make them out of wood.

Stringers Question

Hey guys I am ready to glue up my stringers and stand offs, I have seen a few pics of this and it looks like the bottom stringer is glued right to the bottom of the fuselage, why does that one not have the stand off blocks? When I pull a string line from the lower spar carry through to the tail spring there is about a 2 inch gap in the middle. What is the reasoning for not making a nice strait like with the stringer there?

Oil injection tank location

hey guys is the oil on a 582 gravity feed like it is on the 503. The reason I am asking when my plane sits on the tail-wheel, I level back to the fire wall to see where the bottom of my tank needs to be while on the ground or in a climb, that does not leave me much room for any size tank. Or am I looking at this wrong and the oil pump has suction?

Actuality I think I may have them, Just went and looked through my hardware kits and found a package that says Driven Rivets An426-3-4 I have 66 of them I bet that is what there for.

thats what I was thinking I bet I could grind and file an old vicegrips to make a nice squeeze, what do you think for size on rivets, smallest and shortest I can find.

Fuel tank question

Got my kitfox tanks today, gotta say they look really nice, question is the tank sticks above the 1 and 3 rib between an 1/8 to 3/16 of an inch, should I just add an 3/16 of an inch to the 1 and 3 rib capstrip and feather it out at the leading edge and trailing edge of the wing, do you think that would affect anything, have a look at the pictures and let me know.

Sure there right in that little flat spot on the trailing edge aren't they, that's what I thought, are they pop rivets or nice little squeezed rivets and thanks for the response. Here is the beast.

trailing edge of flaperon

Do any of you know what I need to do with the trailing edge of my flaperon on my kitfox 1, does it need to be riveted together or let the glue be enough. If I do need to rivet it together and you have a picture please post it so I can see how they are laid out thanks.
