good looking plane .I like the paint ,that weight isn't bad either ,performance should be great with that horsepower .I have no cg info for you but mine is at the forward limit and flies beautifully.

I thought I got my batt back far enough maybe a couple of feet behind mixer but might try to get it back even further.a four inch longer wing chord has gotta help in the w@b area I would think Ed

thanks ,its an ea81 ,rfi reduction. bing 94 carbs .downside ,shes heavy.740.but powerfull.alot of wrong info when I bought it and I was too trusting, lesson learned.so my floats are gonna have to go on my other plane .no weight in the tail but solo with 3 reserve its at the forward limit.stalled at 30-32 cracked 100 at 4700 rpm.after two hours pulled the plugs and they were that perfect shade of brown.its a plane now ,not just a bunch of parts in the garage

hello everyone,my name is mike and I thought I would introduce myself.i purchased an avid model c back in march and it is finally ready to return to the air.The wings have been recovered and painted so I then had to rejuvenate the fuse and repaint to match. Then there was the engine ,it ran but ran rough and wouldn't sync ,turned out low comp on two cyl,so I replaced it with a new rebuilt long block.oh yeah its an ea81,was unsure about the Subaru until I got the new one ,it is one smooth little engine.yada yada yada I shouldn't have bought a project, for flying price. but ill say this ,I love my avid and I know exactly what I have. The rudder should be done this weekend and then the annual ,should be flying after that.it hasnt flown since 1997.thanx for an awesome site ,I learn some thing new every time I log on. a few pictures of the avid and my other plane a tbird

I think that is the wide bungee gear ,mine has the narrow gear and is simple to land as is .nice looking plane ,I vote buy it ,but I always vote that way
