Do any of you have a install picture of the 22,000 mfd capacitor for the Rotax 912?
-
Can you post pictures of your VG placement?
-
The Yamaha joke in Alaska is "seize and freeze".

If the left right both start switches are not good then what do you recommend.
Thanks

When you say lamp what is that.

Ya know I look at those electrical diagrams and end up with questions anyways because I don't trust my interpretation.

Okay I am at that phase where I need help with some electrical. Below are some pictures. Please give me some direction.
Picture 1: That is the starter switch. Where does red go to.
Picture 2: The two white wires where cut. Where do they hook up.
Picture 3: The two white wires where cut. Where do they hook up.
Picture 4: What hooks to the pole I am pointing to.
Thanks for your help. I am real close to being done and will post video of first start up and first take off and flight with 912 ULS 100 HP. I hope to go to moon and back.

This is first install and use of a 912 in this Avid. Just checking if I need a cooler.

I am curious if a rotax 912 requires an oil cooler. Flying in Alaska is usually cool weather. What are your thoughts?
Thanks
-
Yes that's the one.

Okay I just found out that the horizontal cable is throttle. HA HA I was totally confused. Called Lockwood Aviation. They said with the Macfarlane Vernier throttle control its okay to have it spring loaded at full throttle.
-
Dumb Question.
I have the Rotax carbs like the one in picture below. I bought the Macfarlane Vernier push pull throttle. If I am not mistaken the carb in picture requires pulling to open throttle. This is opposite of pushing in the Vernier throttle for opening carbs. What do I need to correct this.
Thanks

Cool that's good to know. What size prop did he end up with? I want to see that rocket take off.
-
Has the prop been tested for that level of RPM?

I just replaced my firewall and wondering if you have any suggestions for sound deadening on the cockpit side of firewall. What type of material? Where do I find it?

Hi guys! I'm a new guy and I need some input. I'm seriously considering buying a1989 model "C" Heavy Hauler kit. An 'ol guy, Rodney, bought it off a widow woman. Her husband bought it in '89 and the only thing he ever did to it was to primer the fuse, nothing else. Rodney told a friend of mine, who told me about it, that he stoled it! (figure of speech). It came with a 532 and a round "Kitfox" cowl. He said he had some steam gauges, different radiator, strobes and some other goodies. There is no fabric, but there is Poly-Fiber dope, which may or may not be any good. There is no build manual or any other paperwork with it. Fact of the matter, I don't know if it's all there! Big Question!: If it's not, can I get parts? Also,I'm thinking that, if I were to get it, a 582 would go on, instead of the 532. All this stuff has been setting in a barn for 27 years! I'm thinking that if I could get it for $3500, that be fair if he kept the 532. Whadda' think?

I guess a setup for MK4 will fit into Type C as well. Just starting to rebuilt a bird that settled since 2006. I have an engine mount for 582 but nothing more under the cowling.
Would you ship to germany?
Sorry I probably could not afford to ship to Germany.
