I've been having to hit my shortcut twice to get the the forum lately on my laptop. My iPhone shows none of this.

The first loading seems to be not completely loading the code or something. I will try to get a screen shot of the situation next time.

If you want them to show up in the post as an actual picture and not a thumbnail they have to be hosted somewhere on the web with a web address to the picture.

How to post photo's so that they show up in your text and not as an attachment
I said I would do this a while back so here you go. If you would like for your photo's to just show up in your posts rather than having to upload them as an attachment here are the instructions.

Step 1. Go to www.photobucket.com and create a FREE account. Once you have an account log in.

Step 2. Click on the green upload tab.

Step 3. Click on select Photos and Videos and go to where the pictures are saved on your computer once the box pops up. If you want to upload a bunch at one time hold down the CTRL button on your keyboard and click on the pictures you want. A blue box will surround the pictures you have selected. Once you get all the ones you want hit save and the upload will begin.

Step 3. Once they are done Click on View Album

Step 4. Your album will appear. Run your mouse over the picture you want to post and it'll bring up a box with some codes. Click the one at the bottom that says IMG Code. It will automatically copy the text that you need for the forum.

Step 5. Go back to the forum and right click your mouse and hit paste. It'll put the code in for you. You have to do each picture individually with a separate code for each picture. Add text just like any post if you like above the code to describe the picture. Here's what the code will look like.

Step 6. Alternatively you can upload a picture from other sites as long as it's on the internet. Copy the link and click on the icon the arrow is pointing at and then right click and hit paste and it'll put the tags on it for you and put it into your post.

I hope this helps. It is really quite simple and the pics turn out much better than they do as attachments. If you have any questions feel free to post up in here and I'll do my best to answer them.

Looking good! It's amazing how much bigger the wings become once they have some fabric on them!

The dual spring and 8" Matco is a great set up. The 8" is overkill of your only flying off of pavement but the big advantage it has is no tube. You could probably run it flat and not even know it. I had the 7" one for a while and kept on getting flats on a regular basis. I got tired of changing out the tube to get out off of a backcountry strip. The dual fork TW is their newest version. It's shorter than the single arm one and keeps your tail lower to the ground for better AOA on your wing during takeoff.

Here is the thread where I did the conversion with some pictures.

Guys, you need to leave a message (with your name and number!) when calling. Grinding, welding and fabricating (90% of what he does) usually doesn't allow him to answer the phone.

I don't know how many times he as told me how frustrating the frequent hang-up calls are.

update- My original concern with gluing the cap strips before laying down the fabric is that i assumed (yea I know never assume) that it would cause the fabric to stick on me as i tried to get it adjusted so I decided to just put glue on the tailed ribs but once I started laying out the fabric I found no problems so I pulled it back up and glued everything. any place that you want it to stick put the glue down first and let it dry then put the fabric onto it when you paint on the new glue through the fabric it re-wets the first layer of glue and they mesh together real well. I got the bottom piece of fabric on and preshrunk to 250* its a little bit of a learning curve but so far I'm happy with it.

I have been trying to get a hold of Brett myself to place an order for the Bush Gear, gave up and ordered them from Highwing LLC.

I put an inspection ring in when I covered the fuselage. You can add one now and touch up the paint or another option is removing the horizontal stab. and fishing in a new longer bolt.

So if I buy a larger spring for a cub, lets say a three leaf, are the leaf supposed to be welded together. I think they come loose. I would only use two. The single bolt sticking out of the bottom of the frame is only long enough for one spring and the groove that it lays in is only 1.25.

I have been trying to get a hold of Brett but he will not answer the phone or return my emails.

    Thanks

It wasnt in the disks - But if you call him you will get the answers. I got the impression that they actually have an active covering business - and have done Kitfoxes and maybe Avids.

They say "History repeats itsself" - He wanted to be like Lincoln - and Lincoln waged war on his countrymen, and killed 500,000 doing it - then you know what happened after Lincoln was reelected!
I have quit watching any news - until I hear that "history repeated itsself"!
Crime will skyrocket down here, as people starve.

  24. 1avidflyer added a post in a topic Avid seat options

My first 3 Avids had the sling seat and this last MK IV has the fiberglass seat. Without extra padding, the fiberglass seat is a killer for the small of my back. I'm not tall, 5'8". I took a small foam pillow that is about 16" wide and 12" high and 3" thick and set it behind me on the seat. That makes it fine. The problem as I see it is this. It's like the seat goes forward just about at your waist level and then goes back again. It puts a bend in my back that's not supposed to be there. The sling seats were okey on my back. I'm thinking about making a foam pillow that will got full width across the back of the seat. Forgot to mention, this Avid has the factory bubbles on the roof for added headroom. I don't need it but toom much room is better than not enough. Take care, Jim Chuk
