Painting waterborn paints with a power sprayerAnyone tried to spray a plane using a power sprayer for waterborn paints (such as Stewarts System)?

Sounds a bit odd at first but appearntly there has been some success in this regard.
Anyone have first hand knowledge of experience with this?

Ok Kitfox book says to go right on the vertical rib where you see the stamp, which is about 5 inches back from where it is right now. the only thing I wonder is the kitfox one hanges down about 4 inches where this one only hangs down 2.5 inches. With the under camber ribs wonder if mabey I should just use the kitfox one or try to lower this one with some fancy streamline bracket. what you think boys.

It needs to be away from the leading edge. (Farther Back) Air flow in front of the leading edge is deflecting and will cause errors. I have an AOA indicator installed on my Model I and it is forward of the leading edge and indicates twice what the AOA is and is designed that way to increase readability.

I have the Dynon dual input AOA pitot tube that I am planning on using on the Mangy Fox. I plan on placing it within the protection of the lift strut and jury strut area.
I think your position will work fine.

Certainly no expert on this, but my intuition says it should be further forward if possible to prevent leading edge pressure from potentially affecting readings. I really can't tell how far it hangs below the wing from the angle of the photo.

For that engine you could use .049 and .058 4130. Here is mine I just finished it up tonight its for the 582 but gives you an idea. They don't take to long.

Oops, just read the topic title. Did it take a lot of modification to the cowling around the prop shaft or were you able to match the original location?

Is that an Avid with the engine mount flipped upright or a Kitfox? I like the radiator shroud built into the bottom of the cowling.

The engine is inverted on the Avid so the air is not trapped in the cylinder head. It comes through the water pump and my radiator cap is mounted forward next to the gear box.

Tig welding 4130 is stronger and better looking, The bolt throughs are also 4130 just a thicker wall. Randy

Motor MountI need to make a motor mount for my o-200 but I don't want to pay exorbitant prices to a aircraft shop. Are those mounts made of 4130? I know that a Cessna 150 mount is very light. Is there a special kind of welding needed or is tig okay. Where do I get the tips that the bolts go through to mount to the fuselage like in the picture. Below is a picture of a Merlin GT that I took pictures of with a C-85.
Just need your help to get this mount started.
