Hi,

Anyone with an AVID flyer that has a rotax 912 please post a picture here please.  I need to get some ideas for motor mount, muffler, oil sump placement, etc.

Thanks

Here are a few photos of the Avid mount, I don't think they will help much because it is so busy around the mount that it is hard to see.

So I have the ring mount that I will come from fuselage to ring mount.  I don't understand the mounts going to the prop drive.  Do you have any more detail on that?  I don't think it will be required with my ring mount but I am not sure.

Thanks

Can you also take a cowling picture?  And a muffler picture as well.  If you have time.

Thanks for your help.

Very Good.  Thanks for posting.  Was you able to use the Mark IV cowling as is?  Also can I use the cheek radiators or would that create airflow issues to the motor.

I have a factory Avid cowl that was set up for a 912.  They used a radiator under the engine.  Here is a picture.  The regular MK IV cowl was used, a hole cut in it, and another piece of fiberglass was added in.   If the guy in Bozeman MT is still making fiberglass parts, he could make the piece you need for the radiator scoop.  JImChuk

If you're using the Rotax ring mount, I do not believe you need the support arms to the gearbox.
