Another way to get in the air

Last weekend was the annual Austin NV fly in. It is so far off the grid that pretty much anything goes. I took advantage and did some kite buggying on the runway. My kite has a 16ft span and must be respected above 15mph winds.

4 line control? What kind of speeds are you seeing in say a 15 MPH wind?

I think if it was me, I would just grab a belt sander with a real course belt, and go after my knees and elbows and anything else that sticks out until I have my required supply of strawberry rash.   ;-)   Just kidding (kind of :-)  )  In my younger years, that would have looked like more fun than it does now after all the bumps and bruises I've inflicted on myself.  Have fun Joey, I'll leave that one to you.  :-)  JImChuk

My son did that for a while with what looked like a giant skateboard with 2 small bicycle wheels instead of a sit down 3 wheeler.  Now THAT was really a good way to lose skin.  He got hooked on kite surfing while we were in Hawaii on vacation, but it is hard to find an ocean in Illinois......
