    I stuck a IVO 3 blade ultralight prop on that Fisher Avenger that I did and I was not impressed at all, I thought the performance was terrible. But every plane is a little bit different.

    Just wondering if anyone has ever tried a prop like a wood Tennessee propeller, or prince or any others, I had a wood Tennessee prop on my challenger and it out performed the warp drive I replaced it with. I lost 200 fpm climb and 8 mph on cruise when I switched to warp. but I keep the warp on there because I get caught in the rain every once and a while.

    Hey you say these are nose heavy airplanes? every kitfox I have ever seen with a 582 on it has about 20lbs of lead under the engine mount bolts, whats up with that.

    Ready to Hysol the first wing
    Got the rib doublers glued in and drag tubes glued and riveted, wings leveled and squared in all directions set to 1 degree twist, is there anything I can mix with the hysol so it stays in place better, or do I got to just keep fingering her out as it sets.

    582 Blue head
    A friend of mine said he could give me a real good deal on a Blue head with under a 60 hrs on her with the e box the only thing is I don't know if the e box with 3.47 gears will work good or not.  I would imagine you could swing a big prop pitched up real high and make it work. what do you guys think.

    Hey guys back from the cabin here and catching up, I spoke with John mb at kitfox a while back and he said use the 2024 t3 if you have them. So I will, and Im not to worried about the flexing,  Im going to keep my wings short at 12 foot instead of the 13 foot 6 inches the books call for. should be a strong little airplane hope so at least, like always it will be flying over gross ha. Now hopefully I can hammer down at nights and weekends again and get her done.

    That was a little single seat fisher avenger I did a couple years ago, first tail dragger flight was in that, ha well just say I made it ok but it wasn't the best landing I ever had.

    Anybody ever use this stuf,f I read a few success stories this morning and see a Kitfox guy is using it the Oratex 6000 looks tough as nails. and at 4 oz per yard that's light as a feather.

    Hey Jim hope you have fun on your trip. My wife said we are heading to our land in Wisconsin for Christmas,  In the back of my mind I thought ah crap there goes 3 days off from progress lol but its ok I love just sitting around and enjoying life every once and a while too.     ah I don't want aluminum tanks I have had them in every other plane I have owned/built and never once had an issue but the way it sounds in a kitfox, no thanks. I really do like the plastic ones that wingtanks.com sell but they are more expensive than two from kitfox. I am trying to keep the cost of this thing low. (yeah right huh)

    oh good then I should be ok I have 34 inches between ribs 1 and 3 if rib 1 ends up right next to the fuselage butt rib. I will not know untill I rig the wings and set the number 1 rib. all I have done so far is clamp the butt rib up there and do some rough measuring. but if the tanks are 33.5 I have plenty of room to work with. thanks.

    hey ed im just getting them ready for glue I will set the saw horses at the ends and level every direction later I have alot of little stuff to do yet. but as far as the strut attach goes its with en 2 inches of being 86 5/8 from the root end, seems silly to me to place it half under a rib but thats how it works out.

    Thanks for the info. sorry spars are 30 outside to outside wasn't sure where I should measure.  I wish I could set the dihedral at 1 degree I'm afraid if I do that my strut will not line up with my lower bracket. with out bending the lower bracket down or bending the strut up ha. and I'm not doing that.

    hey guys kitfox is using 1 degree twist in there wings, at the spars being 30 inches, how tall will that make my block for setting my twist.

    With all the bad posts about these not sure I should use them. Hey Jim did you ever slosh these tanks or not. if not are they ok to use if I put a sealer in them before installing. what you guys think is anyone still flying with aluminum tanks
