  1. Why you looking at the cowl during landing? Did my training in a Champ and transitioned to the Avid. Big wide Paved runways make people a lot more adept to orientations. Go find a short narrow grass strip and make the airplane do what's needed for a successful landing. I have yet to see a ground loop on a really challenging strip. It's always on a big paved one.

very true ,we get lazy when we think we can get away with it.(not talking about you.talking about me) keep getting out there and flying .youll get it figured out

  2. my buddy with a challenger does the same remote tank with electric pump, only he has to strap it in his back seat (hes solo most of the time)

  3. got it figured out .put the tee right before the pump. I tried it on the bypass first as they are all on the same line but couldn't get heat .guess that hose gets shut off when the thermostat opens.

  4. I have a question regarding coolant supplied cabin heat ,seeing how the bluehead has a third bypass line as opposed to the greyhead ,where would I place coolant tee on the suction side of the engine?

  5. I got to say that if you get a pair of full lotus floats on your plane you wont need the skis as you will have the best deep powder skis made

  6. No balance issues .I did balance the steel piece before  welding the bolt to it .

Ed .not sure what they're called but meant the round piece in this picture from there site

  7. I thought I would share this adaptation I stumbled on while drinking beer at the hanger .when I put the ivo ifa on my avid I was left with the unused scull cap spinner .much to my surprise when I held it up to my 670 powered float plane the cap fit tightly around the warp drive outer backing plate.

I used a small piece of steel and a 5 1/2 bolt ,drilled the welded to keep from spinning while tightening the 1/4 nut on the outside.

I think these spinners are available for sale separately for 50 bucks.

And yes I did take it back off and painted  the steel

  8. very responsive planes ,besides extreme slips or maybe aerobatics ,two inches of stick movement is all that is needed .if you need full deflection ,youll get it regardless of it touching your leg.your leg will move

  9. It's the coolant lines that runs through through the manifold.either in or out of the radiator. Can't remember which

  10. I have to say the chute really did help me get over my fear of turbulence.that little red handle was pretty comforting when it would get choppy flying a new (to me) plane

What I flew before this only weighed 400 pounds and would put the fear of god in a new pilot

  11. it blows out the bottom,id take it out but my wife likes it,one last move before checkmate I guess, besides its the only reason my radiator is offset to the left.how else would I explain that to people.

  12. Can't upload the pictures for some reason .probably my stupid f×+#£&# phone .mone is mounted right next to the header tank and blows through the fabric on the bottom and rips.up the fuselage and then tears of the turtle deck and hangs four point .I have pictures of this but afore mentioned device will not load them .f&$×
