    I checked out the Wicks 4130. The low cost metal is not only odd sizes, but it also is Chinese sourced. Does anyone have any experience with this Chinese 4130 from Wicks? I don’t want to make a big mistake.

    Thank you both. Teal Jenkins has a c box, Skytrax adapter, and rk400 clutch that actually belong to one of his customers. I talked to him, he gave me a price, and I am seriously considering making the purchase. The components are claimed to be new, and Teal seems like a trustworthy guy. If I buy these components, I should be good to go.. I think.

    I am looking for a quality adapter and gearbox for my RX1. Ideally, I would buy a system from Teal, but the supply may be a little slim right now. I need something that is proven to be reliable as my children’s lives are the most important, and I do not want to be a widower. Please make recommendations that you know to be reliable and robust. Thank you.

    I know this is an old post, but I am curious what tubing OD and wall thickness you used for the main tubing (see red arrow in the pic). I am also curious what thickness you used for the flanges (other red arrow in the pic). 4130 I assume, right?

    That’s great Yamma. I spoke with Steve Henry, and he really praised Teal’s new gearbox. I am hoping for something of that caliber. I am an Electrical Engineer on a design team, and I have access to a hand full of exceptional Mechanical Engineers/cad jockeys. If Teal needs some resources, have him reach out.

    Now I need to find the most reliable gearbox/ adapter combo for the motor.  I heard Teal does some very good work with this stuff, and he recently made a new system for the Apex. I wonder if he has anything new for the RX1. #Teal, if you could chime in here.
