Original plan was to throw an engine on and go. As for the wing fabric it appeared great to my untrained eye, a quick punch test said otherwise. Reasearching fabric right now and oratex looks like a huge labor savings. To replace the Al tanks is there and aftermarket source for new ones?

I have looked at the ad and many other posts, seams like everybody is doing it a little differently. Hoping we could make almost a vote for the best way to do it with fabric on and off.

Best way to reinforce rib tail.
Brought the plane home a couple days ago and cleaned out a shop for it today. Figured starting with reinforcing the rib tails would be a good starting point. The wings are covered and fabric appears to be in good shape but has not been punch tested yet. What is everybodys favorite way of doing this? Also have AL wing tanks, sounds like they are problematic so removing the fabric might be the best way.

Anybody know how to reduce image size on Android phone? Can't get other pictures to post. As for the tail spring it does have the extra leaf already. Jim it had a 503 on it. Have everything except the engine. Thinking I will be patient and wait for the skytrak gear box for the apex yamaha engine

We should have, but didnt. Made it into the shop okay though. Have read a lot of your topics, you sound very knowlagable. Any specific areas to take photos of to help find any lurking problems. Now that its at the ranch feeling a little overwhelmed. Wing tanks have been on my mind, it has the aluminum tanks and reading that they need to be replaced. Every plane ive been around has AL tanks. Having a hard time believing fiberglass is a good replacement. Fox is on the back burner unroll we are finished farming.

    Making engine mount for phaser
Ive changed directions and purchased a phaser snowmobile. Have been reasearching building the mount. They all seam to have the engine on an angle. The actual building of it I'm confident how do you determine where and at what angle to build into the mount?

    Gearbox and prop sugestions
Each engine builder I have called sugests a differnt prop and gear box ratio. Is the vibration so bad with 2 blade props the only reason no one has suggested them? Have a 582 rotax being built now going on a kitfox 1. Use will be just flying around the farm, no trips. What does everybody suggest?

Some contact info would be great cant find anything on the internet. Looking for suggeations on replacment wing tips, these are cracked badly and egt and cht gauges for a 582. A bolt on replacment would be much better than welding new gear attach points. Going to probaly need new axles wheels tires and brakes also with new gear what is everybody liking?

First time plane buyer here, The FAA website is like reading a dictionary. What is the process of transferring registration? tricks tips and a overview of how its done would be great. Complete newbie so any info no matter how trivial would be great.
