    Well Thurday was a heck of a productive day. Got lower kitchen cabnets in, fridge in, and stove set in till get counter top. Even finished up bathroom walls and cabnet/sink.

    Av8r3400,  Will do, next time im up at the shop/mine here at home i need to plow hardpack off with loader, and open the mine for the season since its 43 this am, ill make a road to the screen plant and ill take a few pic and post them.  
    Tjay,  i do like it much better where its moved to, nice floor space in there now. Cant wait to start coverin the walls with T&G pine,  and man there a HUGE difference already between the insulated area now far as heat.  The bus was a little chilly with original  minimal insulation MCI had in there. Hahahaaaaa.

    Mmmm well i thought i was rolling good on the conversion, but when i went to make a hole for a pooper drain there was a support beam for the motorcoach that i was not going to cut, remove, modifi. Hahahaaaa so the bathroom got extended 8 more inchs and the pooper got moved to the side. Hope today will b startin the kitchen cabnets.

    Well thank Av8r3400 u but to make it all correct and not start an argument.  
    NOT ALL 2STROKE DETROIT DEISEL MOTORS HAVE A BLOWER
    sorry to tell u that. Would u like a pic of some i have? The blower is a update from a normaly asperated one, just like the turbo is a update to the blower, like the earlie 71, late modle 71 started with a blower, then to the 92, silver 92 ect. 
    Im sorry the streetrodder/drag racer in me used the supercharger reference, but all in all that is what it is, does the same job ( a large airpump that is able to b under driven, or can b over driven to create boost)  and many people took them off detroit deisle motors and made new endplates and extention snouts for belts (instead of gear driven like in detroit motors) and installed them on gasoline motors. Then they made that blower better by installing teflon strips in the end if the vains rotors to get better boost seal. 
    And yeppers i have been checkin out all the utube videos on people converting them, sure some SUPER DAMM nice ones out there.

    Nice big “FAT ALICE” hahahaaa i mean Fiat Allis.  Good old machines along with International and some others, but they all get bought up buy bigger companys and turn in to a Caterpiller or Hitachi or Volvo and we pay twice the money for them. Hahahhaaaaa i love the older equipment that y ive got a heard of older equipment. Strong!!!!!

    Got a liitle more done yesturday and today, and still going today. Hahahaaaa got a few more old things out, and the shower/tub installed, one closet across from bathroom, the pooper, and few walls built.

    Yep im workin on the bus Jim, Hahahaaa,  yes any snowmachine shop could rebuild it, long as u trust thier work, u not able to just pull over the fog line and stop to check what that noise was. Hahahahaaaaa. But most will not want to do the work on an aircraft motor, thier is a few differences between sled or plane motor. And the liability of workin on an airplane motor scares most people away.

    No this is a newer model than the 71 series motors, dont know if ive ever cn one with a V12, talk about power.  This is an 1981 MCI so it has the 8V92 with a turbo   And of course about every 2stroke detroit deisel motor had the supercharger.  Also has a 6speed Alison transmission.
    Well what a JOB cleaning out all the nasty sidewall carpet, flooring, and old heater duckting, 2 pickup loads of crap.   But got the first wall built, everything behind it is master bedroom. Now for the shower/tub install today.

    Well me and the wife bought this 40’ MCI bus about 6-7 yrs ago from the Santa Clause House in North Pole Ak, was there tourbus and they where upgrading to VanHools.  We did the nice but cheap quick inside to use for trips fishin, campin, and the the state fair in Palmer Ak.  Since we got married backin 1994 we had always dreamed of building a 40’ motorcoach rv like u c on TV. Hahahaaa  (The kids r grown now, 18 and 23) So since the chassie is super sound, only has 257,000 miles on it.  And with whats happening in the world i thought goodtime to start.  So i drove it up by the garage/shop/mancave HaHaHa, and started tearing out the bunkbeds, carpet, ect we had in the back to start with a master bedroom wall and then bathroom as u move forward. (The back pass corner u can c the original MCI bathroom that we have been useing when campin) well time for coffee, english muffin, and turn on the heat in motorcoach and get started.  More pic to come.

    Well buggy just needs seat cushions, bleed brakes and paint firewall and ready for a testdrive. Looks like has a nice turning radius. Was sunny last 2 days and 25-30 above, Snowing again now and 15.

    Didnt some of the earlie 912 have fuel pump problems? And there was a service bulletin to replace it with one with a return line so u dont get vaporlock, Jonas Marcinco had that happens to him he has a utube video on that happening to him and he crashed on takeoff, May check that also.

    Any pic of it by chance? This old gold miner may have some ideas, and i have a shitton of rubber isolater bushings (probably a 5gallon bucket full) off of stationary generator sets and electric motors, i dont throw anything away,  mayb able to match something up so u can get some new.
    if u end up making some id make them out of bulldog rubber, ive used it manytimes to make mounts, 1" thick comes in a sheet 3' wide, but u may find a scrap piece, a rubber/hose supplie shop (place here is called Alaska Rubber&Rigging) may have it, its easy to work with, drilling holes cutting ect, and inperviouse to fuel/oils and stiff but soft, i know that sounds funny. Hahahahahahahaaaa

    It is surprising how some people react. Im sure there is reason to b worried, its even going on here in Ak.  Ive cn MRE's that use to sell on CL for $40-60 per case now going for $100-125 per case, my wife is a cake decorator at Safeway, she says its crazy in there people yelling at eachother and buying up every roll of TP, Paper Towels, Hand Sanitizer, Cold Meds, Bottled Water. 
    I told her well least u can tell the difference between a real Alaskan, and the Transplanted ones.
    Real ones already stock pile all that stuff,  remember if the Canadian Border totally shuts down no Trucks get thro with anything 
    Not sure how true this is, but i heard they shutdown state borders in the south, Dad says he thinks Louisianna(where my folks at) is already shutdown. Anyone know for sure?

    Thats cool i just did the same a few weeks ago on my model 1, but reason was cause mine has changed hands a few times with a couple bill of sales, but no one had done the registration paperwork, so its still in original builders name from 1988.  He said he didnt realize nobody did paperwork and would b MORE than happy to sign the paper, just need to send it to him now.  Also he told me was one of the best/funnest times of his life building it and will b back in Ak this summer, and will bring me a few old pic, and of course i offered him a ride in the plane.

    Once i get this one back together ill have to decide on something custom for my david clark helmet.  The camel tan they come in isnt my favorite. Hahahaaa

    Well an old buddy of mine gave me this a yr ago, now that plane is done i think its time to customize my helmet.  (It already matched the plane color, thats one big reason he said it needed to belong to me) and my Daughter just started up a s custom sticker business from her home so had her make me up some stuff for it. 
    Stay tuned for the finish helmet.  Do u guys where one?

    It was on my model 1,#0038 at one time b4 i bought it, but it and the plane had got bent up in a windstorm while plane was tied down.  I still have the recipt for it in the paperwork, id have a date, price and part number for it if that helps any.  And i have a crappy pic of the gear on the plane b4 i bought it.
