    Bryce - I totally agree - Waiting for Grandchildren is soooo much easier:
    1. You've "been there and done that before"
    2. Someone else can change diapers and stay awake all night.
    3. You can spoil them and send them home to their parents.
    4. You can watch your children "Pay for their raising"!

    Fortunately I am on to the grandchildren phase also, so no more wakeups in the middle of the night for that stuff.  Don't know if that keeps you young or speeds up growing old.

    New member looking at a Avid Model B
    Hi my is name is Wayne, I just joined the group and need advice about what to look for when considering the Avid Model B.
    I have owned 10 different airplanes but no kitplanes. I liked the idea of folding wings and am thinking of trailering behind a motorhome.
    Any advice?

    FWIW, I was BIG proponent of breast feeding vs. the bottle for a whole bunch of reasons. Not the least of which was sleeping thru those 3am feedings. :-/

    LEAF and Lockwood had the cheap. I didn't buy because I had several already.

    Sport +4 is very good oil. You are fine at that temp.

    I would still ash can the wix lawn tractor filter, ASAP. At the pressure shown you are bypassing the filter, it's doing nothing.

    I think I'm gonna do the same thing since I was planning on pulling my fittings out of the tank during my conditional. Kind of sucks to pay $13 for a couple pieces of brass screen though.

    Baby time
    Well we have been at the hospital since 1 am. Great way to get rid of the margarita buzz I got with dinner but its time for Allison Shyann to make her appearance in the world. Sometime soon I will get to relearn the up all night changing diapers routine.

    They make clear duct tape too. It's not totally clear as you can kind of see the reinforcing fibers in it but that's what I used. Just move the elevator full down and put it on top and then move it full up and put it on the bottom. Just cut a notch out around the hinges.

    I switched this 912 to Aeroshell Sport Plus 4 on the first oil change. I used the Wix filter at my last drain because the A&P owner/builder had used them since new and had extras in the box of parts I rec'd with the plane. I was hoping to pick up some of the new Rotax filters at OSH but never found any real bargains. Which vendor did you support there?

    I did the same, using yellow duct tape because it is almost a spot on color match.  
     
    I'd look to see if you can find some red duct tape or at some places they call "racing tape".

    I gotta place for you to stay if you can make it over.  I'll even pick you up at the local commercial hub, CWA.  You can fly over with me and stay in the camper for the week.

    I put a piece on top and bottom, stuck together in the gap.  It makes sort of an H shape.  It doesn't cause a bend or disrupt the airflow with the elevator up or down.

    I would seem like the lump or bend in the tape with elevator full down would cause the air to be disrupted over the surface?
