Fabric in wings oil can

I just recently purchased a Avid MK IV. A friend of mine lifted up under the wing to and the fabric on top oil cans between the ribs. Is this typical of the Avid?

Many fabric/wood wings will do that simply because the wing HAS to flex some in flight. It doesn't take much flex to have the fabric go less than taunt between the ribs. If one could actually see how much the wing moves in flight, it would probably scare a person. If it didn't flex, that would scare me more.

Thanks for your reply. I haven’t had a fabric wing before and was concerned.

Here is a nice video of some rolls and loops, you can catch the sun off the upper fabric sometimes, showing some oil canning. See 0:40 for example.

Normal stuff.
