Have any of you been in a spin with these birds (either intentional or not)?

If so, how did it behave and recover?

Avids really don't spin, because they don't stall, BUT!  But What they do is a spiral. Which is cool, BUT the spiral accelerates RAPIDLY!  I thought mine was the only one, but Larry Martin confirmed his did the same. He has acro experience as do I, both of us agreed that it's a great idea to not start the spiral and to stop it quickly if started. Btw, my MKIV has looped, rolled, and stall turned, etc. But I don't recommend spirals:BC:

Great video on that link Doug, thanks.  This Kitfox definitely stalls.  Nose drops hard over at about 30 MPH clean (though I do have a increased cord elevator).  Another thread I found on the Kitfox site in case others are interested.

It depends on how far back your CG is.... but if you move it far enough back to get a sort of spin then you better be wearing a chute and know how to use it

As Bryce said, it will spiral but not a good spin unless you have the short speed wing and lots of elevator.
