Matco tail wheels

Hello All!! I'm about to replace my Maule tail wheel, because of the iffy stories I've heard about them, .Has anyone tried the single arm Matco 8" tail wheel set up, I know they work, but will it hold up with only a single arm. There is a little less weight with a single arm, but is that worth the future posible failures?

They work great.  Just Aircraft (among others) used them for years.  I have one on the Mangy.

One of the top 5 mods I've done. Spend the money and get the dual arm one. It lowers the tail down a few inches and has better overall geometry. I went from the single arm 7" one to the dual fork 8" with the wide tire and it was night and day.
