KF3 with rotax 670 on floats

Maybe it's the exhaust but the 670 has a distinctive sound.

It would be harder(without a clutch) to do a runup on floats, but from shutdown to full power with a two stroke is asking for a cold seizure and once agin the engine (especially a 670)will get blamed.

But still impressive,thanks for posting.

Wonder what the weight difference really is. I have a 582 for mine with the E gear box, wonder if the 670 with a C box would be about the same?

Since he was in the middle of the lake I think it's safe to assume he had just landed. Sure the water temp was already up. I think the 670 with the proper set up will make a great engine. It was the workhorse of Ski Doo for many many years.

The difference in weight 582vs670 is regularly quoted as 10pounds,the crank is heavier and the barrels are only slightly bigger.

The correct exhaust is a Lot bigger, but awesome power to weight!

Even a warm engine will nip up under the right conditions,20 seconds at a high power setting is cheap insurance
