Posted 24 Apr 2015 Does it make a difference what side of the elevator you build that into. I was looking through you guys pictures and some have it on the right and some have it on the left.
Posted 24 Apr 2015 The MK IV had it on the left. was that because the plane was designed around clockwise turning 912, I don't know. Just an opinion but I don't think that it matters that much as the plane was made for the 582 and other options.
Posted 24 Apr 2015 (edited) Sounds like a subject that Barnaby Wainfain could write about! It could mean the difference in winning or losing the Reno Air Races!I put one on each side to be sure, but not electric! and I have two electric servos to sell - actually three, counting the stabilizer servo.EDMO Edited 24 Apr 2015 by Ed In Missouri
Posted 25 Apr 2015 Mine is on the left. I've seen both ways and even one on each side like Ed is doing. don't think it really makes a difference.
Posted 25 Apr 2015 I put mine on the left because I subscribe to the theory that the right side of the airplane should be the "pretty" side. This means fabric seams, access panels, doors, etc should be on the left side when ever possible.
Posted 25 Apr 2015 What is your servo (ray allen ?)
Posted 25 Apr 2015 (edited) I think one is a Ray Allen - would have to look at other (maybe MAC?) - The Kitfox 5 stabilizer servo is not the brand that caused an accident.EDMO Edited 25 Apr 2015 by Ed In Missouri

Posted 26 Apr 2015 (edited) Horse Manure contains too many weed seeds - Here, we prefer "Bullshit"!Strangely, I learned to fly with a stick from the right seat or the front seat, and with a wheel in the left seat -The Ercoupe was no choice, since the one brake pedal was on the left side.Since I Fly Roads (IFR) with a stick control most of the time, the "Free" signs are always on the right and are easier to read from the right seat! Posted 26 Apr 2015 I really need to work on my online social skills. I seem to be a kindergartner sparing with the senior class... 1 person likes this
