Float recall 912

If anyone has an engine built since 2012 or if you have replaced your floats the new floats are defective. They absorb fuel and then cause the engine to run rich/rough on the low end. On mine one bank was worse than the other causing the engine to run very rough and shake at idle but this happened over time. You can order new replacement floats (currently back ordered ) and return the defective ones for credit.

SB 912-067UL and SB 912-065UL

I can only give you crap Larry cause I would love to have one in the nose of my plane. Unlike ed ' s nose wheel.. :lmao:

Nose wheel, nose wheel, nose wheel.

I think rhinoplasty would be more convenient...

There are more of us (Modern engineering nosedragggers) on here, but they haven't "come out of the closet" yet, because of the "Ancient order of taildraggers" might rib them, especially when we are able to carry a kayak under the belly!

One soul has a photo of a P-38 nosedragger as his Avatar..

.Maybe I should use my Ercoupe which was designed in 1938, instead of the Cessna 150..

Missed the float recall thankfully. The carb recall and 5-year rubber were a mofo.

Lmao! Well Ed, I would not have minded a nose wheel today.. there 8 standing water on the lake, the ice is getting rotten and my damn brakes wouldn't bolt up to the new gear... it's 48 degrees and I had to get the plane off the lake but I can't pull it up on the bank where it was at.... soldotna awos said 16 gusting 20.. 1/4ing crosswind.. no brakes, axle not not as tight as they really needed to be so I have a slightly wobbly wheel.. you only live once right?? I got it on the ground in one piece but it was not fun not pretty.. it's going on the trailer and coming home tomorrow and getting set up right.
