Nice! You need the wide 8" TW from Matco if you are going to be landing that kind of stuff.

An old timer local cub driver said to keep the little maul tw for the beach. No brakes required when the anchor digs in!

The problem is taking off sometimes if you can't get that anchor out of the sand  I love my 8" wide tw. It makes those short bars and beaches much less risky.

Looks like a great day of exploring for you!

That is true. I was wondering what my takeoff run was going to feel like. She jumped off ok. Then we scared up a few gators on the shoreline. Its like an African safari down here! Fun stuff. Love the fox.

But a big tw is on my wishlist regardless.

I landed my model 2 on a sand bar off cape cod once,..it was about 75' long bar,..then took off from the same ..I used about 50' for landing and take off,..landing,,wheel landing with brakes,,come to a stop then set tail down,,same maul that you have,,take off ,..powered up..brakes on got tail up ..and took off..
