I'm wanting to install so valves for each wing tank. I see an in-line option available at spruce. Which ones are you using?

Thanks

All my Avids had/have Part # 05-01042 (Aircraft spruce part #) for fuel valves. Jim

I bought real nice chrome-plated 1/4 turn, ball valves from Grainger - about $10 each - with 3 changeable handles.

My Grainger valves can be ordered any size - I bought the 3/8 size which also take 3/8 NPT fittings for -6 tube or push-on for 3/8 hose. You can get cheaper brass valves from them - I just liked the chrome and spent a few more bucks.

Mine are not installed yet - plan for one on each tank, and one main valve in cockpit - part # 1PZA8.

Believe this part number is used for 2 sizes, but there are two more sizes.

I would be in trouble if I ever physically went to a Grainger!

Take care with the in-line fuel valves, See the topic Air/vapor lock in general. I had two engine failures due to the valves.

Thank you for sharing that info Nico! How far are you from Sevilla or Rota? I spend a lot of time at the Navy Base in Rota on the Southern Coast for work.

Just bringing to mind the importance of connecting vent lines between header tank and wing tank - We installed two wing tanks in the J3, but the STC did not provide for a vent line connecting them - The wing tanks have shutoff valves and are only used to refill the header tank while in flight - The problem is that the header tank has to get down below the fill line before the wing tank will drain into it because of airlock - good thing we raised the fill fitting a little higher than standard, or we would be running on fumes before wing tank would flow fuel...
