    Final rigging?
    Ok a couple questions
I am getting ready to do final flaperon rigging here, I have read D-Hollys Kitfox 3 rigging, thank you for that,
First question is you level the underside of the fuselage as described manual correct? Not the wing?
Second question is that 1" reference in CF18 Just a number to get close? Reason I ask is when setting them just out board of the wing strut at 1" below front spar, I am at  +1 Degree, I read alot of guys setting them at -3 degree to get there I need to have 1 13/16 below front spar,
Third question when I get the flaps set, lets say flap handle forward, flaperon -3 Degree, then pull full flaps and make a stop at +15 degree, Correct,
Keep in mind I have F7A arms installed and 1/2 twist in wings,

Nice find that is the old style where you don't need a reversing bell-crank in your throttle to make it work, the down fall with it is the throttle linkage on them tents to bind when pushing the throttle forward, that was the reason they redesigned  it and called it an aero injector,

Ok so I talked to a local plastic dealer today Hey has UHMW in full sheets only 4x10 $388.00    (Not this guy) He also has HDPE which he says would probably work just fine, that is sold in 4x8 sheets for $47.00 upon researching these products I don't see a huge difference that makes me say don't do it,  good chance I will be buying the cheaper stuff,

Lamp is probably an Idiot light on the dash telling you weather you are charging the battery, Just a 20 dollar Napa switch and two toggles, is what some use,
Larry do the left right start switches work if you install the diode? the switch its self is nothing more than two self contained toggle switches and a starter switch?

really you had good luck with Royal Purple? I used that is a B box once and within 5 minutes it started to foam up and drip out of the breather on top. Switched to mobil and never happened again. Maybe the E box has more room for the Oil to expand in?

For those of you that were interested the tool I used is a delta shaper cutter with a router bit installed #Freud 99-027 If your on a budget you can get these router tables quite reasonable too, otherwise cut an angle with the table saw and sand the rest not real tough. As you can see I set the cutter quite deep and had to sand the ridge out, definitely not necessary but its the profile I wanted,

I have wondered that as well, all that I have seen are open behind the tire, Maybe so you don't end up with 50lbs of snow sitting there,

I don't have a whip one but I think I do have one that pops right into the 450 its made so you can remove the elt and walk with it, It would work fine in the plane, let me know if you want it.

Did a search and someone said this. The last time I redid my bottoms I used what they call "reprocessed" UHMW. Its black with little specks in it. As I understand, they regrind all the scraps from the manufacture process and recast it. It seems to be a lot more UV stable than the white. The white is food grade plastic and is not UV stable, and as MTV noted it will eventually degrade and crack then its done for. The black reprocessed is about 2/3 the cost of the white food grade in all thicknesses. We have also used blue, which is a lot more abrasive resistant than either white or black, but at twice the cost. If you can buy a whole sheet it saves a lot $$. We use a ton of the stuff in conveyors and truck bodies and get it in 5 x 10 sheets. If you know a contractor who runs trailer dumps most of them are lined with 1/4 Tivar or uhmw, and the bottoms of the trailer are worn out long before the sides. You can get some pieces for cheap if they are not beat to pieces over time. 2 places in Maine sell the stuff and ship it any size, Haines Manufacturing in Presque Isle 207-762-1411, and Lane Supply in Brewer 800-432-7667 both good guys.
