    Shock Monster Gear? The Grove is more streamlined too. But one down is the bounce. Armchair quarterback here. I have been doing a lot of reading, Holiday Inn Express, etc.  I have Avid's Bush gear on mine... well partially.  I am fixing to get back on it soon. And I have done the snowmobile spring mod on it.

    Not all paints will do that but I know Imron will change big time. I ALWAYS brushed on a spot without catalyst on the part I was painting and let it dry to see if it matched. Then just wipe if off with a rag and MEK.

    If you go into business with family
    Get a contract like you would with some shyster you didn't trust as far as you can throw them. Long story-short, I have been running the family business for almost 30 years. And now my siblings (mainly my broke a$$ brother) wants to sell out. So I am getting kinfuc..... er screwed and forced into retirement.
    Just some advice I thought I would pass on.
    I worked in and ran a composite production shop as well as worked building race boats and have tooling experience, so I guess that is where I am headed. Building a shop with a hanger on the end.... I already have a 1,200' strip. So I may come up with some interesting projects. I always wanted to do a cold air mod on my Avid. Wingtips, slats, who knows.

    Looks good to me. And I worked at a Beechcraft dealership and painted KingAirs all the way down to bug smashers (rentals).
    I understand what you are talking about (concerning weight) but we rarely had to balance control surfaces. How much can an extra coat or two weigh? 5#, 10 at the most?

    Pennzoil regular 2 stroke oil. As in not synthetic or a synthetic blend.
    To add a bit if fuel to the fire, anyone have opinions on synthetic? I run Penn 100% in my Merc race engines (outboards) with the plated cylinders, and it works great. I run 30:1 but it runs close to 8000rpms. No problem with carbon deposits...

    Worked like a charm!!! I had to pry the strap out of the coil that was close and the double stitch near the hook, but other than that... Awesome.. After I get it rolling, I have to install new brake lines. I also have a new double leaf and a billet pneumatic tail wheel assembly!!!
    So far weighing me thinks I don't think there is any need to rebalance. It is pretty much tit for tat.

    Thank you sir!!!!  That beats the vice and industrial zip ties ( I think they would work... they are 3/8" wide, but...)
    I see those don't have a hook and strap on the winch end... I have to hunt a couple of those up.

    Ever fly a Breezy? I have... It is different for sure. More open than that even... I taught myself to fly in ultralights, so I am used to it.
    BTW cool vid. I used to do that in a 152 and a Citabria in the summer.

    My only problem is the zip ties may slip. Through my travels I have compressed springs on my old Z28 many times trying to find the right set.
