Be careful of flaps on landing as the flapperon response will be slower with each degree of flaps. Got me in trouble once.

Pennzoil Marine XLF Outboard Two-Cycle Oil is the same formula as the discontinued recommended Pennzoil we used in the past.
Available in all Automotive supply stores.

When you say carb. boots are you referring to the carb. to eng. boot or the throttle cable boot to the top of the carb? I had problem with the throttle boots and safety wired them.

Check the carb. boots for cracks.

Matco said DOT 5, not DOT 5.1, 3, or 4 is a approved replacement for H-5606 fluid. I got some from auto parts store, it works the same as 5606. Name brand is AGS DOT5. Russ.

Didn't you tell them you were a pilot and builder of Avids and Kitfoxes?

Larry, he called me last night to say he really is not gay. Russ.

I was on the Team Kitfox forum today, and a guy had remodeled his bungee gear into using the springs. He hasn't used it yet, but if you want to have a look, dig up the Firewall Seal thread. I kind of went off topic with the thread when I looked at his gear and asked some questions about it. Take care, Jim Chuk
Thanks Jim, will look at it. Russ

Jim,
I fixed the title for ya, but I though the same thing when I read it the first time Gotta love a good laugh in the morning! Maybe that is what happened to Joey's gear and someone needs to pimp slap and crap outta someone.... Larry, take care of our light work for us
I have that downloaded someplace around here I think. If not on this site, it is on my laptop I think. I dont remember, but did he actually put down the part number he used for the spring or where he got it? As I recall, it was not that expensive and more time than anything to make it. I am pretty sure I can modify my wide gear pretty easy to the spring set up, I just need to find that darn spring somewhere.
I also have the WIB gear using the bungees. If you find a way of modifying to the spring type keep a good record for the rest of us. Thanks Russ. N844RS

So, raise you hand if you like the Avid/Kitfox design rudder peddle brake assembly... <<crickets chirping>>
Me neither. Junked the whole thing. With the help of my master welder/fabricator friend, Dave, we built a set of Wag-Abond (Wag Aero's Vagabond clone) peddles, modified to fit my Kitfox. (He built the same for his hybrid plane and they work awesome!)
LOOKING GOOOOD!!! Russ.

Is there anything special you run in the rotary valve shaft housing?
Thanks
We all use the same oil for both. Russ N844RS
