  1. Got 100 hrs on rr 670 in my 800 lb "ultralight"

With amphibs and its perfomed flawlessly

  2. It looks a bit to me like your tailwheel spring angle and large tailwheel tire are limiting your angle of attack of the wings. (to me it looks like the tail should be sitting lower) Maybe that's why it gets of the ground slowly initially but then climbs out well once you are off?? Dunno for sure. Just what it looks like to me on the video. Not being critical. Beautiful plane. Just responding to your comment about how it is getting off the ground.

    Chris

second that .its happened to me in a couple of avids including mine till the gear and tires

  3. Dynomike, what did you use for shock absorbers?  Where are you located,  looks like my area, northern Mn.  Where it is -7F right now..... JImChuk

Gabriel air shocks .for a 70s Chevy I believe .dampening is to slow though

  4. I just put ribs in the avid recently while recovering the fuselage. I did the vertical and horizontal  cause I liked the way it looked .Flys exactly the same did before though. I would say cosmetic.the horizontal is definitely stiffer though when pushing the plane back into the hanger. I didn't rib stitch

  5. prayers. Hope he recovers well .

I've never met or talked to the man ,but he amazes me everytime I see an avids wings folded and right before the flaperon hits the vertical it somehow turns 90 degrees, all without disconnecting anything!

    Get well
