I think you should put a big hinge on the back and make it open up like the nose of C-5... That would be cool.

If it wasn't for San Francisco and L.A., it would be a great state! Heading out next week for a few days in L.A. then up to scenic Stockton for a week.

Dang, Positive Earth only! Wish they had it in negative ground like we typically have in the U.S.

Stopped there on one of my many trips between North Florida and Illinois. Very nice museum that you don't hear much about.
Where is Kenneth now? I'm in Lake City Fl, Cannon Creek Airpark (15FL).

I have a Perry prop on my 582 - it is what Avid included with the kit at the time (1991 - Complete STOL kit w/engine and prop was $12,995!). Seems to work fine, but I have nothing to compare it against.

If I make it this year, I'll be in regular camping in Camp Schofield. I'll be driving the 5th wheel up again, I'm a glamper, not a camper!

marksires added a post in a topic Selling aircraft/widow's liability
The problem with the state issue is you need to consider ALL the state laws. They could initiate the lawsuit in the state you live, the state they live, a state the accident occurred in, a state they flew over, a state they thought about flying to......

Agree with IV2plyguitar. I believe you can get a sale contract with liability release boilerplate from the EAA. Nothing will stop someone from suing you if they think they can get something, but it will make it more difficult, which will thin the ambulance chaser herd.

Walk inside the Bass pro and look at the prices on outboard boat motors. It will make you feel a LOT better about flying!

Joey at Oshkosh this year?I just read an article in the latest EAA magazine that the Air Force reserve is celebrating it's 70th anniversary and bringing tankers to Oshkosh to have on display all week this year. Maybe Joey will get a faster ride to Oshkosh than his Avid(s)?

Correct (at least for the E-AB part). To perform the condition inspection on an E-AB certified aircraft, you must be a licensed A&P. Note that an IA is not required, just an A&P.

Here is a link. Ignore the bad sounds - the top is catching the trim around the opening, have to work on that this weekend. Also, this is operating on backup battery power, no power to the building yet. The 'up' speed is about 1/2 what it will be on line power. I got 3 'up' cycles on the batteries, when I plugged in the charger it reported the batteries were at 25%. Two group 24 deep cycles in parallel.

Thanks Teal. That gets you pretty close to competing with Lycoming/Continental 360's (180 - 200hp rated). That is a sweet spot for a very large part of the market. It isn't particularly of interest to this group, but getting it up where it can be considered for an RV/Glassair/etc. installation opens up a huge market, which makes the motor/adapter more viable for us as well.

An update to make sure no one thinks badly of the company (Higher Power Doors). Yesterday they asked me to send them an invoice for my time and any materials to fix the issues. I wasn't too concerned about it, and told them so, but did mention that the extra week of delay triggered another month of forklift rental. They said to include that also.
I'm not really comfortable with that, there have been many delays in this project that were my own darn fault, so it doesn't seem right to stick them with the bill for this one. It is a class act for them to do this however, and wanted to make sure everyone knew they were standing behind their product.
My wife and I talked it over last night, and decided I would send the invoice as requested, but have them send whatever amount they felt fair on the invoice to Wings of Hope as a donation. Feels more right to me.
