I think the ones that Brett has are the same as the ones from Kitfox.

However, I have never seen any evidence of performance improvements with the undercambered wing.

I have since converted to Grove gear, wheels and double puck brakes. The masters are fine. The Matco single puck calipers are not my favorites.

If you buy his complete you won't have to modify your oem gear. You could then sell that and recoup some of your costs.

    Video Camera!
I was good this year and Santa brought me a Drift HD170 Stealth camera. Now I added the Magix Edit Pro MX software to the mix.

I just installed the software tonight. I've used the windows video editor before, so I'm not completely cold, but this is going to take a while to figure out...

In the mean time, I've put up two of my first videos on YouTube. Hopefully taking more this weekend. We'll see about that editor next...

Hardly just a plastic syringe, Doug, and definitely worth the money in the epoxy you will save. Especially when that bag of epoxy is starting to trip before you can use it.

I'll try and get a photo of it next time I get over to Daves place.

After helping my friend building his wings, I would never use this product with out the "double barreled" squeeze gun and mixing nozzles for application. The gun isn't cheap (~$60 I think) but worth it's weight in gold for making fillets and not wasting the epoxy.

Sounds like a waste of money to me. I'd say put the IFA control on your ultra-light and go.

    But that's just me.

Sorry Leni, I don't swing that way.

I know up there in your neck of the woods where men are men and so are the women, that may be an option...

Up there where you don't loose your girlfriend, you just loose your turn...

Doug can confirm or deny this but I believe that plane had an accident while being towed on a trailer.

Yeah, I saw that one in the welding jig right now. What a mess...

Brett does have nearly all of the steel replaced on the overhead already.

  16. Av8r3400 added a post in a topic How to Install Wheel Skis

Ski rigging is not an exact science.

    I rigged mine this way:

Set the plane 2-5° nose down from level. This is your setting for the rear limit cables.Maintaining this attitude, set your crust cutter cables so that you have some tension on your bungees/springs. This will vary depending on the strength of the bungee/spring you are using. With the plane at three point shim the tails of the skis so that they are ~5° down. This is the length of the front limit cables.Done.

Others may do it differently, but this is how I rigged mine.

    Guts -vs- Balls
GUTS - Is arriving home late after a night out with the guys, being met by your wife with a broom, and having the Guts to ask: 'Are you still cleaning, or are you flying somewhere?'

BALLS - Is coming home late after a night out with the guys, smelling of perfume and bourbon, lipstick on your collar, slapping your wife on the butt and having the Balls to say: 'You're next, Chubby.'

He's got the same ones on his plane now. I think he has the 6" Matco wheels (OEM Avid).

Mark, I don't think he stocks these, but if you let him know you want a set and he will surely get them on the way ASAP...

Chuck the pacer and buy this clipper. Way better than new complete with a (legal) lycoming 320.

The "short wing death trap" is a dig at our favorite site administrator, Leni (AKFlyer), nothing to do the museum quality, way better than new, restored Clipper based here in Merrill.

Ironically enough, Dave, the owner of that beauty calls it "Scruffy".
