    Got it. Thanks.

I think it was someone on this site that mentioned it on Facebook. Maybe Joey....? Maybe he'll jump in and clarify.

Either way if some one could use them, holler. Not doing me any good

    kitfox 5 landing gear
I was reading , I think on facebook, that the model 5 bungee landing gear will fit an avid model B....?
If so, I have a set that is hanging in the shop collecting dust if anyone needs them. I think I have the bushings, and other parts too.

Shoot me a PM if interested.

This happened in my neck of the woods recently. I look at people like this and sometimes think that I have no business in a plane. If a proficient pilot like this can make a mistake and had this outcome, the odds of me making a mistake are almost guaranteed.  But I rationalize with the fact that he was doing aerobatics and I don't, and he was in a high performance airplane that is probably more unforgiving than my Kitfox, so that makes it digestible, somewhat. Still a sad, sad thing for his family. I have not flown in several months and I get nervous on these hiatuses. I try to get pattern time in once or twice a week but this past several months have been bad with the wind, Ex-Wife, Kids, Ex-Wife, Work, Ex-Wife, House repairs, Ex-Wife, ....if only I could get rid of one thing? Hmmm. Anyway, anybody else have a remedies for the flying hiatus butterflies?

I'll try and get by to check to see what my RPM Filter setting is. Since I haven't fooled around with the RPM sensitivity to get mine working right, I might be in the same boat as you and will have to adjust the filter as well. Truth be told, I don't even really look at the RPM on this gauge since I have an analog Rotax gauge and I am Just so used to looking at it.

I see you figured out where to hook it up. Here are some screenshots of how mine is set. Will give a starting point.

I have this same exact set up but I hooked the tach into the hotbox. When I get a chance, I'll swing by and see if I can trace the wire from the hotbox to the connector on the tach gauge. The other suggestion is call MGL. I made several calls to them to get mine set up and they are the one's that told me where to hook up the tach wire. My tach is still not working 100%. At high RPM's, it will read real high, like 9000 rpm and fluctuate. At low RPMs it closely matches the Rotax tach gauge. I have not had a chance to fool with the RPM sensitivity yet, and feel confident that that is the problem.

Not sure if this video has been posted here but when I replaced my tail wheel springs, I followed the directions of this video and my set-up works perfect.

Haven't posted much on this site but I sure do like this forum and thought I would add some pics. I have conversed with Joey back in the day on the PPC forum when I decided that PPC's are fun but going 30 mph in circles gets old when you have as much money tied up in a PPC as what a Kitfox or Avid costs. And oh yeah, you get to go places in a Kitfox or Avid.
