How much does he charge these days
-
I think there are lots of ways to do it. I didn’t have any instruction or tailwheel time but tons of helo time, so I just did slow taxis, fast taxis, crow hops, fast patterns...then I got a cfi to make sure I didn’t kill myself. But you know, I could have easily bent metal by doing it that way.

Allen I think the plywood glued in would add quite a bit of strength if fitted and glued correctly.
-
I plan on delaminating both ribs, and sliding the good hanger in. I need more heat I think than what my wife’s hair dryer can provide. What varnish goes on after?

id say fly it for a bit with the standard gear. You may come to find out it’s everything you need and wouldn’t cost you.

Fred stork i think runs a quadrant on the left side

For my mission it’s hard to justify a 912. Though I’d do a phazer if it where further along
-
Mk4. Wings need flaperon hanger repair and cover...and motor

98” lift strut. Thebolane is actually at my buddies house in Louisville so pictures are by request.

Gotta get the lift struts measured, will report back

You know, you can’t replace weight with hp. Though there is a simoni v2 for sale that’ll be the ticket
-
It can be done Allen. I didn’t try too hard and ended up with 458.
-
That’s the ticket right there, Fred’s bird sold me on their capability

Yea I keep coming across these planes. I like to tinker. Probably trying to be like Jim Chuck. I’ve got an Avid C getting ready to go out the door once I fly the phase 1 off, 2 mk4’s that need motors and one needs wings covered, and the kitfox that needs to be completely built. I’ll likely tackle the KF last.
-
Also it appears there is a 2 stroke engine mount, but does that look like a 912 mount in black?

Kit never put together

i have a kitfox kit, but no idea what model it is. Is there someone who can point me in the right direction?

Welcome to the thunder dome, glad to have you. This community is very helpful and amazing and I think you’ll enjoy your journey if you stick with it, remain focused and stay motivated. I’m 5’11” which i feel comfortable in the model c, but couldn’t imagine being much bigger.

If you can start your bird from the cockpit I’m impressed. I can only assume my geometry is off, because I have to put chocks behind my tires

That’s what I do, coming from flying Blackhawks, you control the size of the houses with power. I’m just trying to log all he seat time I can now.
