  1. somebody just beggin for that ass whippin....I have allready forgotten what the class subject was...too much capt'n morgans I think.  :beerchug:

I am getting real antsy to get home and finnish my bird.. hopefully the weather sucks bad enough I wont be tempted to fly everyday..then I can check out the new starter.  hopefully it went through some design problems in the begining and they are now worked out... would piss me off if I went through what I did to actually get the damn thing then find out is it a total piece of shit...

  2. there is occationally usefull info on that site...but mostly it is entertaining to see some of the questions that people ask.. and some answers that are given that were obviously pulled directly from their ass..

If you followed some of the posts in the last year, alot of the original builders have removed themselves from the list... I think they may have started another one ( i pulled that one out of my ass as I dont know for sure, just get that feeling).

oh well.. you are at an advantage as you have many years of working on planes.  Most of the posters now bought the planes allready flying and kow nothing about maintenance etc. but they want to argue about anything as they have some weird preconcieved idea about something and they just wont listen to reason.  :banghead:

    oh yeah.. you still suck

    :beerchug:

  3. your wrong, you dont know shit, and it is possible you still have a chip on your shoulder...

crap I forgot my training allready..... I will take another shot at it....

It is quite possible that you may be mistaken and that your theory (a Hypothesis if I may) may not hold much water in a real world.  It is possible that you will need to go back and re-test you engine and then post up a computer graph showing the exact number of revolutions needed for both hot and cold start.  While you are at it, please post up compression numbers for each cylinder that correspond to the hot and cold start cycles.... or you can tell me to get bent, it worked for you and if I dont beleive you then go try it my own damn self...

I can tell it is going to be a long struggle for me to suppress my natural style and show my adapted style so's you yahoos dont think I have a tree on my shoulder...

  4. Anyone ever used the GPL 90 degree starter?  I am bought one but have not installed it yet... seems like everyone would be going to it.  the rotax starter is now around 700.00 to replace the GPL is only 500 plus you can have your recoil for back up...That was my #1 reason to try it as it would suck to be in a remote area, and have the battery go dead when you have a clutch on the prop...

  5. I am really interested in hearing how she does with the new shinny clean valves... hopefully it did eliminate the hard starting problem.

The old me would say... bout time you got off your ass and figured the problem out.

The new me has to say.....I am sooooo glad you took time out of your busy schedule to figure out for the rest of the aviation comunity a problem that has been haunting some for a very long time.

  6. Holy crap thats funny.. I have been in a "Learn how to be nice to your employees" class for the last 2 days...

With that being said I may now have to make a new sign....

Some thing along the lines of.... Real men fly bungie gear, but if you are comfortable with your prissy little spring gear I applaude you for knowing you dont have to make every landing a good one..

  7. glad to hear you are back in the air!

Some people swear by the seafoam, but I put it in a boat last year for winterization and was not to impressed...took forever to get he shit outa the tank this year, and when I pulled the filters it smelled like dead fish...the only thing I did different from previous years was seafoam in the tank..

  8. hmmm. Dont know if he really knows... I was a while after I stuffed mine in that I actually remembered the last 20 seconds or so before I hit..the body has a way of blocking shit out...

On the other hand... temerature inversion ???   me thinks thats a pretty damn far reach... and I have a pretty darn good imagination and drink alot too

  9. What the hell??? That looks the same as your last one..is there an update on the way they hang it to stop vibes?

  10. the prop stays where you last had it...If I have it set for cruise, then on take off on floats I only turn about 5100 to 5300... truley sucks..  I will be using Ground adjustable this week till the new motor gets in.

  11. Well inthe last two months we have lost two of the electric motors on the IFA prop.  It appears the wires that run from the brushes to the hub are rubbing on the internal bolt that runs through the motor and grounding out.  The system comes with a breaker that has never popped.  I am overnighting my motor back to IVO today and will see what they come up with.  For you guys that have the IFA, you may want to pull the spinner off and then the back plate from the motor and take a look at the wires.  You dont have to remove the prop from the plane to see what I am talking.  It may take a little gun powder to get the spinner off though....

  12. ok your killin me.... what do you think it is??  I know what it could have been had you not found it before the pilot cooling fan quit !!  :shitfan:

:beerchug: < to finding things wrong before they find you
