    I even cut all my own windows from a sheet of tinted lexan for the pa12, except for the windshield

    I use some skidoo springs, want to say was rear track front shock spring, then have to make a new pad for the sping to sit on the strut, if u look thro the archives and search here ull find the info, i got it from this site. Even look up my build in kitfox one questions

    Yep ive done windsheilds/skylight, doors on 2 different planes blue kf its been in since oct 2018.  Love the grey tinted lexan.

    Yeppers i bought his gear for my KF1, works great, i love it.  
    Mine was the first set of extended gear he built, so the first set had to b sent back for some reworkin but when they came back everything lined up sweet and works great, but i dont use his springs. 
    Right now he is buildin me a set of the same extended gear with 3point mountin on eachside for my KF5.

    I have a old model one windsheild still in the shed, i could get u a patteren on paper and mail it to u, but wouldnt b able to do that till late Oct, or b4 this Saturday, im headed out to Wasilla to finish my pa12.  I have lots of model one parts.

    Well packin up the pa12 again in the trailer to head backdown to Wasilla to finish her up. Hope will get it done in 2-3weeks and b able to fly her home when done with my buddy Jonny’s help of course.

    Well weather cleared up so loaded up pa12 and took her into have my buddy help me out with the windsheild install, and next thing u know, i broke it! DAMM!!! Hahahahaaaaaa oh well ill order another and try again. 
     
    65 fastback has a fresh 347 stroker in it, automatic, 4 piston 4 wheel disc brake, global west tube a arms, lowerin kit, rear progressive springs, big swaybars, she runs/handles real good!!!!!

    Yes thats y u go thro all the spring on the spring chart, have a startin point and when i say shim the spring im NOT talkin a 1/4 inch, only the thickness of a washer in that diameter.  
    Im not going argue we both have good points, but i know what i did to get my gear to work right and it works right for my use, and im not easy on it by no means and others have done the same to thier gear also, hell i just copied the springs and rate that others did on thier gear on this same site. Leni has all the info that started the skidoo spring mod

    Yeppers that i have been, got an appt to have my inspector/mech help do the windshield this week, never done one of these and worth payin and helpin to learn from a piper pro!! Got cowl/hood/nosebowl painted and installed, once the fuse leaves the work space ill start back on the finishin of the wings, tail feathers, flaps, alerons, then start the final assemblie, with mining season knockin at my door, may take me a bit to get her finished up.

    Springs r adjustable, they make different rate springs and then u can shim the spring to fine tune it.

    Yes i know ur refering to the Tweety Bird, i like the plane, but not the gear, gave my opinion on it, just seems like more stuff thats not needed, we been runnin the cabane vee gear since piper started and it works, most everyone copies it in some form or another, so y add more bungies to do the same job.  A good buddy told me to KISS those airplane builds. Keep It Simple Stupid.

    Well spent my winter in Louisiana helpin Mom and Dad, workin on the 39chevy coupe, 56ford coupe, 69camaro, 65fastback, tried some fishin on the lake but didnt get any bites, water was to cold they tell me, and now back home and startin the assemblie of the pa12 again, just about done with the fuselodge stuff, and wings, but lots of assembile for sure, mayb get her flyin by mid summer.
