Sometime this summer, I think, there was a thread here relative to your situation. I can't recall what the title was.
EdMO, are you awake for some guidance?

Boy is my face red!
For some reason I was thinking it had been imported to the US.
I'll go back to sleep now

At 178# I would think W&B would be tough to do on a Kitfox or Avid. Sounds like a full race cam, at idle...

When I applied for insurance for my KF2 there was a box for "model" on the application. I simply entered it as "II". There was never any need to show proof of that.
Is this aircraft registered with the FAA? If it is, I would go with whatever the registration shows.

Pretty snappy performance. Was there a crosswind that day?

KD I did that just that with my plane. I used Latex shot out of a Harbor Freight el cheapo spray gun to cover up some ugly spots on Aerothane on just the fuse. Latex is flexible, contains UV protection, covers well, is light, cheap, did I mention it's cheap? I used a lot of rattle can on metal parts after sanding and priming them. 6 years later and I still an occasional compliment on it. She's no showbird but that is NOT what I was after. I just wanted to get her flying and it turned out better than I ever imagined. Now if you are looking at resale value, and things like that you should consider starting over from scratch but covering is substantial chunk of money these days.
Heres a link to the process I used.
Also check out www.weinerdogaero.com for more info on Latex painting on aircraft.
That URL takes me to a "links" webpage

I like the OD - Makes you stand out from the Ivory soap crowd!

I think I remember a video (or 2) of the gal that did the commercials for that product...

It depends what it is really. An old KT-76A would still do what it needs to do as long as it still works. If it doesn't there are better options than dumping money into repairing one. Wiring harnesses are still readily available.
Dig it out and throw it in that box and I'll have it tested for you.

I always buy Ford...

It does look like a trike but acts more like a reflection, I think...

Awful high for an Avid. Hope you had oxygen (and a coat!)
My thoughts as well when I read the Heading

Thanks All. Will check them out. As a reference, First Flight has liability 1M at $461 a year.

Wish I had known that before I went with Falcon. 68% of my quote!

I've never owned a vehicle that shined.
I always have problems with pieces of metal catching in the buffer pad when I polish the redish-orange areas

My $.02
What have been your experiences with vehicles you have driven? I imagine the same would hold true for the top of the airplane cowl. But then, I'm not yet a pilot and don't play one on T.V.

I decided I would go the light sport route to get in the air but there are no LSA planes around here to rent so I started looking for one.
That was my approach also. I looked for nearly a year before finding mine.
Unfortunately I've not yet had it in the air.

The more I see videos of these online, the more I wish I had a project so I could put it to use
