Do you have the 8" pneumatic? I have one that came with the package and have been debating installing it.

Thanks. I really enjoyed the photos from Diamond Head! Lou

ummm I'll give you a pass on that one Ed
Seemed to be a pretty GI proof process...

I've done my headlight covers by hand with 600 wet paper followed by 1200 wet paper. They look good from the outside. Can't seem to get my head inside to check the view out...

I sent him my elastic check. Let's see how far it will stretch :-)

Well, I guess I fell off of the high from such a great event...now I'm back to dealing with dumbasses That wouldnt know a good thing if it fell on them!
Ron
Who you callin' dumbasses?...Just kidding. I was hoping the winds would lay down for the event. Most politicians don't understand much...

For those of you talking about the Verner engine, I saw this associated with promo material on the Merlin PSA LSA aircraft, "The Czech Verner engines was offered. This engine simply is not as desirable as a proper and reliable aircraft engine."

Hi Guys, Another quick update. I'm healing very well, well looked after, and applying myself with 100% effort to physical therapy and proper nutrition for healing. I'm truly thankful to have the family and the means to provide a proper recovery and healing process. I'm about to graduate from the walker to a cane and becoming more independent every day.
Here's the part I think you guys will enjoy. As the pain ebbs off and capability returns, so the fear ebbs and the desire to fly returns! At a minimum I'll prepare with a CFI buddy for and fly the FAA 709 ride to keep my ticket. The guys at the local FSDO are helpful and understanding. I'm 3 weeks from being able to drive (officially) and of course operate rudder pedals!
To replace the Avid, I'm giving thought to later model Zenith CH701's and CH750's with either continental, lycoming, or rotax 912/914 (engine preference in that order I think) 100+ HP min..
I found this today. Looks pretty impressive...

Nice job! Those should give you a lot of contrast against the sky.

I'd be concerned about winds. Predicted for Topeka today 30 sustained gusting to 50!

I thoroughly enjoyed the 21 acres we had for a few years. Sure wish I still had it.
Ed - Many jurisdictions use GIS & sat maps. They compare them to find changes.
When I built my 10'X14' all wood shed this property was not in the city. Every afternoon a county building inspector would watch me for about 15-20 min. No permit. Nothing he could do because it was/is not a permanent structure. I had a argument with with the tax dept because it is not a permanent improvement. I don't worry about it blowing over or away.

One of my sons-in-law is a avid waterfowl and upland bird hunter. 3 or 4 years ago he and his best bud were going to lay out in a picked corn field and wait for the geese. We had about an inch of snow on the ground. I thought them crazy. I "acquired" a couple of XXL white throw-away protective suits no longer used at work. They knocked 'em dead.
Ed - "properly shot"? I thought dead was good enough

I like that last photo. My American Bull would sometimes sit like that on the couch and "watch" TV or look out the window. Someplace I have a photo of her sitting on my lap like that when she was about 6 month old. Lou
