It's about time. I hope he realizes how much impact he had on todays LSA market. Dean is a family friend. I've known him for 10 years and been to his workshop several times. He's a super guy and we all owe him a ton for what he dreamed up in the early 80's.

<to the guy behind our planes

Would be way cool if we could get him out of the work shop every once in awhile and pop in here to put in his .02 on some of the technical issues or questions we had for him. Who better to answer any of the big questions than the guy who designed the plane

That's great to see. Mr. Wilson seems to me to have humble blood, not prone to search out the spotlight or perhaps even put much stock in such an award. I suspect the true reward and any self satisfaction comes from knowing he has impacted and positively changed the lives of so many with his own interests. Sometimes the very best results come not from trying hard to achieve an end, rather, simply sharing what you love. For his generosity, I will forever happily be in his debt!
