First overnight camping trip in the Avid

A Rans buddy of mine and I spent the night at Lake Pillsbury in Norcal last night. The strip is in good shape despite all the ruts from people spinning donuts out there. You could not have asked for a better evening. We arrived at about 6pm, set up camp and then went and flew for a while. We spotted a bunch of Elk and then landed the strip in the width of it a couple times. I'm sure Emmet has a bunch more pics to add. Overall an awesome trip. Round trip with the stop in Willows and some playing Saturday evening was 198NM's and 4 hours on the hobbs.

All packed up and ready to go

Leni we landed at like 6pm, set up camp and then went and flew till almost dark. There were quite a few boats out there that weren't skiing so I can only assume they were fishing. It was a really nice place to hang out and only about a 1.2 from home.

Beautiful pics; looks like you need to make that a habit. Some very nice country. Can you hunt there?

Always fun trying to fit your gear in the Avid isn't it? I have not been able to fit enough for two people to do it in one trip including the passenger. I guess it depends on how comfortable you like to be, and I like to be warm and dry if possible.
