Axle anyone?

Hey Guys,

I want an axle to replace my old ones. I want to fix/attach a tow bar to the inside of the axle so I can tow it on its own gear rather than using the factory tow bar on the tail. If I can't find one, what should I make it out of?

Do you still have 3/4" axles?  If so, I went to the local metal supply shop and ordered 4' of 4130 heavy wall tubing from them.  It was really not that spendy.  I had a buddy machine the threads on it.

Thanks Leni! Do they need to be heat treated?

No I wouldn't worry about heat treating them.  Your not welding on them so not really inducing any stresses.
