I am helping a friend revive a bird. Anyone have a part number or source for the round rubber motor mounts? His rubber is dry rotted.

If I remember right I used some type of conveyor belt material and cut them out. I'll talk to the guy I got it from.

Joey, it's just neoprene rubber. Go to the local industrial rubber supply house and buy a sq ft section of it.  I think I paid $12 for it. You'll get more than you need but it's great stuff to have around for other projects! I cut mine out on a bandsaw.

This whole time I thought they were Rotax parts.

How do you ensure your durometer is correct?

Maybe something like this will work? This should be the heavier durometer.

This is a good question.  I wonder if one might take a new style part and have it measured by the industrial rubber store for durometer.  Those stores aren't common but there used to be one on the Peninsula south of San Francisco.

I had mine made at the local rubber/gasket place. After a year or so they kind of shrunk, so I went back and had some thinner ones cut for shims to tighten them up.
