Mounting a TAB-4 7.0

Some time ago I saw one of the guys here with an IPAD mounted in the airplane and was asking about the mount.  Well turns out the mobile mounts available for a Samsung TAB-4   7.0 are only designed for the TAB without any cover.  I have an Armoured Cover on my TAB and wanted a mount that would mount it on the panel of my AVID.

So I wandered out to the shop and made one.  A little lathe and mill work, play time in the shop.

See the attached photos.  I'll add more later when I get some with it moounted in the plane.

That's a sweet mount. I just got a tab 4 8" and am starting to look for a mount. I will be taking some cues off yours.

Stuck the mount on the panel with some really heavy duty commercial VELCRO (acquired a small amount from work).  I am surprised it holds so well.  Of course the real test is flying and vibration but as hard as it is to pull off I do not think it will fall off.

More pictures mounted in the airplane.  I haven't decided if I prefer the portrait or landscape configuration yet.
