Surfing the Polar Vortex in a 180 P.Ponk

Local friend just bought a 180 w/ a O-470-50 P.Ponk Super Eagle conversion and shot a short video playing in the snow. The other 180 is a P.Ponk that spends summers floating on a local lake. I'm betting the new one is on floats either this year or next too. Getting pretty sick of the snow and cold this year but  ski flying looks like F-U-N!

That does look like some fun winter flying! I was just talking today about building skies. It's useless for me though, I don't fly anywhere that I could use them. It was more of a "hey that would be fun to build and fly" type conversation with my day. We get into those all too often.

Looks like good fun! The snow sucked this year for ski flying.. It's been more like ice racing than ski flying. Makes me wish my 180 was up n flying.

       Too bad that we voted for global warming while I was in Alaska, and you missed some of the fun

 - now all the snow and ice is down here - With 80% of the Great Lakes frozen over, and 300% of the usual snow,
